I don't know how many know about this, as it took a while for me to find out, but if you want to see how your current gearset looks like in other colors, you can just go to you gear window, clicking any of the pieces and selecting "Try on". After you have the try on window open, enable current gear from the bottom and now you can click on all the pieces and select "Enable Dye Preview" to change to color of those pieces.

5 on your numpad will lock your camera onto whatever you're targeting (a true "lock-on" that makes strafing around your target to hit positionals MUCH easier)

Yes, but it also restricts movement as backing up and strafing are slower than running forward. It's a nice feature but they need to alter it for high level play to be viable

My tip to maximize mgp is to get the 15 percent mpg bonus items from your company squad, use one, then go do the fashion report, the large cactpot weekly rewards, and then the mini cactpot all on the same day, and you get 15 percent bonus on all of them. Also there are 3 challenges in the weekly challenge log to play verminion 5 times, note play, you do not have to win the games, you can just tab out and lose 5 times.

It's funny how some of these tips are fairly recent additions to the menus. I'm a nerd who reads all the patch notes, so I know when new features like the "Raw Materials List" are added, but most people don't do that. Thank you for your service to sprouts and veterans alike. There are tips in here I didn't know, like the spam num pad 0 for turn ins. I also didn't know what the different sort options did and never tested it for myself. Teamcraft is an absolute must if you craft. I use their gathering alert feature since I can easily add it to the gathering list from the crafting lists. Teamcraft also offers a gathering overlay into the game, so I can easily look in the corner of my screen to check the timer on the next node. You can also preview housing items inside your house/apartment/fc room by opening up the housing menu inside the room and selecting the "Preview Indoor Furnishings" option. It will also let you move and rotate the item so you can see how it looks with the rest of the things in your house or if it fits in an area or not. This is very helpful if you have a specific size you need something to fit inside. You can only preview one item at a time though, so if you select something else, the item you are currently previewing will disappear. A side note: Another thing Eorzea Time is used for is Hunt calls. For example, if there is an S rank monster, people will send out calls on linkshells and gather people before pulling the S rank. If there is a time given on the map for the pull, it is usually in Eorzea time, since that's the same for everyone and you don't have to deal with time zones. Edit: Also, thank you for purring time stamps on the video bar, or whatever they're called now. It's so helpful to immediately go back to a tip to remind myself when in game.

for garlandtools you didn't show SO MANY features : - making a group to make HUGE gathering lists - some items like in idyllshire are set as NPC selling automatically you have to tick a box in the item menu at the top to make it into a crafted item instead (so you don't have to spend 2k + gils PER item at an NPC) OR there's an option to automatically put all the items into crafter/gathered instead of bought to do the same thing but for ALL the items (it's easier that way and then set certain items to be bought from NPC) - the garlandtools bells part of the site allowing to make big amounts of timer nodes be notified when they pop (can also change many settings like a first and second notification for before and when it pops) as for teamcraft it's the site i use IF i ever need to do fishing because each fishes has their own page with literally EVERY DETAILS you need to fish a certain fish it's OVERLY GOOD for when you need to fish something very difficult to fish that needs a specific : weather, time (at the same moment), fishes to fish in between and all that stuff... the side even has timers telling you EXACTLY when the fish will be available to be fished, some fishes can take a few days or a week to be available for fishing (with every specific needed things like a certain weather at a certain time) there's also a site called something like FF14 angler or whatever for fishing, but really, use teamcraft it's just overly better, way way better for detailed fishing

If you're a decorator, you should know that FFXIV Housing often has a several day delay after new items come out until they are posted. Another downside is that it's hard to figure out if an item is too big or small for what you're planning. However, sometime in Shadowbringers, the devs gave us a preview menu. Just go into your house and open the housing menu then preview indoor furniture. You can now place any housing item that exists in the game except seasonals in your house and see what it would look like without actually buying it. Unfortunately you cannot place them with glitches though. If you want to see seasonals, FFXIV Housing is still your best bet.

5:40 *OH MY FUCKING GOD THANK YOU* Btw, tip for getting more MGP: If you have a squadron you can get "Gold Saucer VIP card" from the purple missions, take in mind you can only do one of these missions a week, so pick the one that gives you 10 cards The VIP card gives you a 2 hour duration buff that grants you +15% MGP on all Gold Saucer attractions, this works with Gates, minigames, mini cacpot, Triple triad matches, tournaments and I didn't test it, but probably Chocobo racing too, basically anything that can grant you MGP (minus tickets you get from Khloe or selling Tripe triad card dupes) but most importantly, it works with *the lottery and fashion report,* so basically if you pop a VIP card before your fashion report and get 80 points, you get a total of 69.000 MGP Using VIP cards you can easily passively farm MGP for the mounts if you don't feel like spending all day in the Gold Saucer, as you'll probably walk away with around 100k MGP each saturday If you wanna use them for Gates too, my advice would be to wait for either "Air force One" or "Leap of Faith" then wait until there's 5 or less minutes left to use a card and join in, this way you make sure your buff remains for a total of 7 gates as you'll have 5 minutes left in your buff for the last gate, which is enough time to complete any of them While you wait for the next gate, either do Triple triad tournaments if available, do your mini cacpots, some Chocobo racing or the chopping wood minigame in the lower floor of the Saucer The amount of MGP you obtain when using the card for gates varies depending on the gates, for example if you get "Any way the wind blows" you might come out of it with just 115 MGP, if you complete "The slice is right" you could earn up to 11500, on average completing all 7 gates will give you enough MGP as if you had completed 8

For emoticons and vendor inventories I think default order is based on Kanji keys that work like an alphabetical order for us. The problem is that when translating to English the default order makes no sense. It is the same exact situation with many vendor NPCs that seem to have the items totally in random order inside.
