In Sword and Shield, Jolteon had both Rain Dance and Weather Ball, which I consider pretty good. Combine this with Thunder and you have an effective sweeper.

It gets hilariously walled by ground types and tera ground, and tera ghost easily stops it from rapid spinning. At least Jolteon will have some decent usage in its tier, and not end up being straight up unviable or outclassed.

The eeveelutions have such barren movepools that it blows my mind that they’d actively remove coverage from them. Not only are their stats falling behind but their shallow movepools are leaving them far outclassed. If the issue gets any worse then they’ll be relegated to in-game only Pokemon.

The last time I used Jolteon, I was running pin missile on it. Course, that was in Blue Rescue Team, where it does about 4 times more damage, and has the potential to hit multiple targets if it knocks out the first target.

Jolteon is my favorite Pokémon. I think it's adorable and wish it was more attainable in the early game. Catching and evolving Eevee with a Thunderstone is more tedious than just picking Shinx or Wattrel, which sucks for anyone who wanted to use Jolteon as the main Electric type for their playthrough.

Jolteon in Gen 1 was OP. It was so fast and critical hits were determined by speed then, so it was likely that you could crit almost every turn. And if you got a crit on multi-hit moves, it would crit on all of them. Pin missile used to be a devastating move when used by Jolteon.

Right?! My Ace Umbreon that I had carried me from Kalos to now, got so nerfed... It was an Attacking Umbreon that had Iron Tail, Foul Play, Toxic, and I believe Psychic for Fighting/Bug coverage. It lost all 3 of its best attacks and use. Eevee no longer can have iron tail also so there is no point. I get to try and reset all the EVs to properly set my Umbreon now to a special attacker and even then I miss its old coverage.

I used to do curse, payback, heal bell, moon light. But they got rid of payback and heal bell. On other sets I would run toxic but they took that too even though his Pokedex entries mention that it sprays poison

you have no idea... i was using jolteon from the beginning of gen 9 with choice specs and i tell you, it is a beast. no problem surviving gholdengo, oneshotting it any time with tera electric and it also effordlessly killed murcrow with tera boosted voltswitch, or atleast decimated it to 1 hp... so i had just to switch in tyranitar to finish it with sandstorm.

Focus sash/ ice tera jolteon is great in the singles game. It can prevent volt switch with volt absorb and is a great way to deal with garchomp with its tera type. most would use regileki, but it cant prevent volt switchor use yawn to force a swap if needed. Jolteon may be discount regileki in speed and damage, but it does have more utility/ same counters as regileki/ and can even be used to counter regileki.

At the start of gen 9 I ran a Jolteon set I thought was p funny. Heavy duty boots, Volt switch, Shadow ball, terra blast, and protect. I had a Glimmora try to set up in front of me, thinking that a Jolteon couldn’t touch it, but it got slapped by a ground type terra blast.
