I never had an issue with Jomashop and I’ve bought Omega, Breitling, Hamilton and Baum et Mercier. The watches are authentic. You do not get the warranty and some cards may be missing but you get the real box. I’ve never used the Jomashop warranty and never needed to. I’ve saved thousands. Picked up a new Omega Seamaster for a smidge over $4K. Saved $1700

I have been thinking of buying an Omega from Jomashop. My logic is that the odds that a brand new Omega has a defect that requires warranty work is very very small.

I've bought an Omega Planet Ocean and Omega Speedmaster Racing from Jomashop, both new. The first purchase I didn't opt to pay for expedited shipping and they were a bit lagging; the Speedmaster I opted for better shipping and it was worth the peace of mind. They're both quite nice and not lacking from an AD except I didn't get their buying experience or factory warranty. I do have the Omega boxes and paperwork which are valuable if or when I decide to sell.

Yes, I have bought from Jomashop more than once. I even bought a new Omega Speedmaster for just over 5K which came with the fancy box and packaging, just no Omega warranty. I am thrilled with all my purchases here. I would purchase from Joma again for sure.

Great video, thank you for sharing 🙂👍. I recently bought a Breitling from them using funds from selling my DJ36. The watch came in protective plastic. After peeling it all off, it looked flawless, no scratches, no smudges, not even a polishing cloth fiber. Definitely not second hand or demo model. Agree you should ask first about stuff, though. I did not get warranty card, and was disappointed did not get COSC certificate. Got the box, COSC seal and instructions, but yeah kind of bummed out. Would it have been a dealbreaker had I known? No. The price on this model was so great, I couldn't pass it up. Process and delivery was quick and no drama. Thanks again.

Informative video that I believe will help many that are on the fence about making purchases from Jomashop. I've bought watches from Jomoshop however like you, the price points have remained under 1k. And yes, you will get a black Jomashop warranty card. My higher end pieces have always come from an AD. I recently purchased a watch through my AD that you can extend the warranty (at no charge) to 8 years. The market is tough and every AD is trying to make a sale. I have a relationship with two ADs in my area and they are actually willing to price match.

I have limited experience with Jomashop but all of it is good. Low end stuff all under $500. Never needed a warranty. Factory warranties are not all they’re cracked up to be in this price range. A $5000 watch ought to be painstakingly manufactured, assembled and regulated, but if you get the one defective watch that QC missed, not having that warranty would be regrettable.

The factory warranty is only good for a limited number of years. After that, you are out of pocket for repairs anyway. The discount difference in your pocket will probably cover the cost of service

Hi - Thank you for the in-depth review. As you mentioned, ALL watches come with a Jomashop Warranty. We have an in-house repair studio that is functional all year long should an issue come up. FAQ's here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oGbMl4Z8itmooZY However, One point I would clarify is that when we are able, we can provide the brand warranty as well. It is really a case by case basis. If we have the brand warranty available (Rolex, Tudor etc.) we will provide it. If we do not have the brand warranty, then we cannot provide it. Thank you

My Tudor Black Bay Burgundy METAS from JS came with the Tudor warranty/ service card. It has the NFC chip to ID your watch and see some of the test results of the watch before it left the factory. I should note, It was listed as Preowned, but still had some of the protective stickers on it like the caseback and a few still on the T-fit clasp.

I’ve bought several watches from Jomashop. Seiko, Tag, Tudor, Citizen, Casio etc. Most recently I purchased a Tudor Ranger for $2775 on bracelet next day air delivery. Watch came with original box and Tudor warranty card. I saved $600 under my AD’s asking price. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them one bit.

I totally agree. When it comes to very expensive luxury watch, I would not buy from Jomashop or any other gray market retailer. However, I have no problems buying from Jomashop or elsewhere in the gray market for popular brand watches under $1000, though that is not to say I haven't had issues w/ those--read on. My rationale is, if I have money to buy at watch at $5000, for example, I can certainly pay a little more to have the warranty and the piece of mind that I get buying directly from either an AD or the manufacturer itself. For me, it all has to do with not knowing exactly the full history of the watch. As you mentioned, one of the possible origins of the gray-market watch could be returned items. I don't know if a given watch has not been touched in any way or manner prior to my purchase. Thus far, I have had a 50% success rate with buying watches from the gray market, and one of the gray-market vendors has been Jomashop. Of 10 purchases I've made thus far from gray-market vendors, I have had to return 5 because of malfunction, right out of the box. Those that have arrived functioning well, 4 have come without the original box or wrapping. So I wonder if they have been returned at one point in time to either Jomashop or the gray market vendor in question, and if so, whether they have been fixed by someone who an authorized watch repair person by the manufacturer. Only 1 watch of the 10 purchases, came with all the expected checkboxes marked: the original box and wrappings seemed intact and original, the warranty and all original documentation came (even though the warranty was not coverable by the original manufacturer), and the watch came fully functional. It was a Tissot that I purchased from Jomashop. Excellent purchase. Because of my experience above, I cannot buy a $9,000 Breitling for $7,000 to live in doubt, thinking that I'm really buying a refurbished watch, and if so, what kind of repair, and part, went into it. If it is a Seiko, Tissot, Bulova, or Timex watch, in general, a low-end popular watch brand, no so much of a problem. It would not be so much of a loss finding out that the watch has gone through a trip it should not have. But an IWC, Omega, Rolex, or Breitling, etc is a different story. I’d like to have the peace of mind that my watch is not only genuine, but totally new and untouched before by anyone that should not have touched it, and in the event that it needs service within the warranty time, that it will be serviced by an authorized/certified repair person. For that range of money, I can afford paying a little more to never have questions.

Three years ago, I purchased a Junghans Max Bill and a Rado Coupole. They also came in the original box with papers. All the watches are still running and in fine condition.

My experience with Jomashop was extremely positive. They had a Breitling Bentley chronograph with a dark green dial they were selling as Pre-owned. They made it very clear in the listing that it had the original box, but did not have the original paperwork for the watch. I bought it, received it very quickly, and love that watch! I have not had to repair it, it keeps time and works beautifully! So for me, I didn't feel like I was losing a warranty, and the price made up for the paperwork in my opinion.

Hello, new subscriber here. Great review of Jomashop. I have to agree that Jomashop is perfect for purchases less than $1000. Just recently, I have purchased a Hamilton Khaki Pioneer Pilot for $590, a Citizen Promaster EO2020-08E for $249, and a Seiko 5 SRPJ85 for $148! I am looking to add my first luxury watch to my collection, probably a Tudor Ranger, and I am definitely going to my local AD for that one! For every Ranger model, it is only about $300 savings at Jomashop. The free first service will easily cover that $300! But for the lower priced entry level, Jomashop is hard to beat. I mean, that Seiko 5 SRPJ85 was half-off MSRP and it just came out!

I bought both a Hamilton Pan Europ and a Hamilton Khaki Aviation Red Bull. Neither came with the boxes but both were about 40% below what they are still being sold by Hamilton today. I’ve never had a problem with either and It was definitely worth it to me because the authentic boxes were ridiculously cheap on eBay. I don’t plan on selling either but if I did I would recoup an amount closer to what I paid.

I will add this, I brought a jomashop bought Tudor BBB to an authorized dealer, and they warrantied it without question. This has been my experience with multiple categories of quality gear. The AD has never asked for the warranty card. Watch, motorcycle gear, bicycle gear even sailing gear. Your experience may vary but that is mine. I will say that I do take it to shops that I shop at even though I may not have bought that item from them.

Manufacturers like JLC and Cartier will give you an 8 year warranty if you buy from their AD. So sometimes it's worth paying the full MSRP.

But I’d be skeptical buying a Seamaster Aqua Terra from them only because it may have scratches on it. I’d be less worried buying a seamaster 300. With Jomashop, condition would be my concern!

I absolutely refuse to order anything from them after a bad experience. I ordered an expensive in stock notebook from them and they took forever to ship it, taking over a month to received it. Except I ordered one in black and they sent me one in bright yellow. So I contacted customer service and in the end they wanted me to pay to ship the item back (even though it was their fault they sent the wrong item). In the end I decided to just cut my losses because honestly I had no confidence I was going to receive a replacement.

I bought a Tudor black bay from Jomashop. I somehow went through a financial crisis a while ago. Thought about a way to afford something to live and get me my money back. The watch looked like a perfect idea. I started heading to shops trying to sell it. Almost no one really wanted to even look at the watch or accept it when they saw that Jomashop card. The only way I could sell it is through Jomashop itself and they would give an extremely low price. Maybe because they know that no one would buy it from you ? I ended up not selling the watch and learned my mistake of buying a luxury watch from Jomashop. I hope people could learn from my mistake. As till now I can’t sell it even when things got financially better.

From my experience the warranty usually only covers the time keeping aspect. If it stops working sure they will fix it unless there’s say a broken crown stem or something like in which it was damaged due to impact and the warranty wouldn’t cover that. If it suddenly ran out of spec yes but if you dropped it and shattered the crystal then probably not. But every manufacturer is different. This was my experience with Rolex/Tudor though.

Hi. Just subbed. Nice vid about JS. I’ve purchased from them in the past and was one time burned on a Tissot auto that didn’t run when I got it. Returned for full refund but took several weeks to get refund. On the other hand I purchased an Omega Ladies DeVille 18K two tone Diamond dial and bezel quartz model for my wife’s birthday last year and saved several thousand dollars on it by not purchasing from Omega or dealer where they wanted retail. I figured it’s quartz and it should be fine. Well it is and still running strong a year later. If it’s auto and over $3-5K I would be hesitant to purchase from JS.

I purchased an Omega years ago and it had an issue midway through its warranty. I sent it in and Omega said it was not a manufacturing issue and that the warranty would not cover it. They claimed that I somehow caused the issue by wearing it. The watch showed no signs of excessive wear on the outside, but it seemed that Omega thought I must have abused the watch (warranty denied). I’m not sure that having a warranty can outweigh a large discount as the warranty restrictions may make a warranty claim invalid. I purchased a new Breitling for about $1200 off suggested price. That discount would cover two full services with case polishing at Breitling or it would cover any manufacturing issue that came up. I could win or lose, but I prefer a large discount.

My biggest question is whether the Jomashop warranty includes the use of OEM parts. If so, that's a huge benefit that makes the absence of a factory warranty less relevant for at least the duration of the Jomashop warranty period. I would love to be wrong, but I assume their watchmakers do not have a parts account with any of the true luxury brands they sell. This would be categorically true at an AD. Anyone have any insight into their policy in this regard? I have purchased several sub-$1000 watches from Jomashop in the past and have had no problems so, for me, it's not so much a question of the manufacturer warranty vs. the Jomashop warranty, but whether I could reasonably expect to have warranty repairs made with OEM parts.

It would be nice if you would have covered the Jomashop warrenty instead of just mentioning they don't have the manufacturer warrenty. Is it any good, do they honor the warrenty, how fast is the fix/return from them. To me $700 is a lot and maybe go with Jomashop, I have bought from them before but never needed any warrenty work to have any feed back on that.

Many of the items i ordered from them had signs of wear/scratches. Also, you have to note that they are manipulative with the discounts; sometimes they would announce an increase in the discount as a special offer but the net price becomes actually more due they are changing the original price. So yes i saw them doing this cheap trick more than ones

I bought a citizen promaster diver and it did not come in the original box. I didn't return it and/or inquire about it because it otherwise looked legit, but I cannot explain why the watch did not come in the little plastic scuba tank.

Hey, wonderful review, are the Rolexes sold on Jomashop also with just JS warranty, and are they legit? I see they are seriously overpriced as well, but I wouldn't mind since they are impossible to get at the Rolex store. I bought IWC Portugieser from them and it was all good.

I just made my first purchase from Jomashop and it's a sub-$200 Seiko. Personally, I would buy items under $1K from Jomashop, otherwise I would go with the dealer.

I wouldn't buy anything real high end from them, but I have bought several MK Mall walkers from them and they are just fine.

I purchased a Tissot V8 automatic chronograph and sent it in for a hand realignment under warranty. They refunded my money as store credit instead of repairing the watch. I had to file a BBB complaint to get the watch back. Even though JS's warranty clearly states repair or replace in the event of a manufacturing defect, they didn't in this particular case.

I have never bought a watch more than $3000 and am now considering to purchase a Zenith skeleton 2022. Would you recommend buying in a pre-owned store? or buying on Jomashop? (The price is almost the same)

Jomashop is selling watches closer to what they should cost. Its the brands and ADs that are gouging buyers.

I’ve purchased relatively inexpensive watches from them with no problem, but when I had a major issue with a luxury piece, I thanked heaven I paid more and bought from an AD.

Massive Inventory but I deal with Chrono 24 and all 5 purchases have been Chrystal and Authenticated with Box and Papers. The customer service is outstanding. Big Plus is the descriptions are accurate and never a bait and switch and excellent return policy.

One thing I have noticed is a differential in pricing. I was looking at a Seiko Chronograph. Jomashop listed a big discount, over $200 from list price. Except I looked at the same watch on Seiko's site and it showed a much lower list price.

Yes I’ve seen them show an inflated list price so I always just focus on the sale price vs the competition

Jomashop has always provided great watches at a great price. From Omega’s to Citizen, they might be a year or two old, but they are always the real deal. NEW watches rarely need a warranty. And once you do need a service or cleaning, the watch returns with a manufacturers for 2 or 3 years depending on the brand.

I’ve tried to buy three watches from jomashop and from my experience I’ve concluded that they advertise watches that they don’t have. In all three cases I placed orders and have either been informed some time later or due to my inquiring about why it hasn’t shipped that the watches were unavailable. One watch I later ended up buying a couple of months later without incident. I’m rather reluctant to go through the experience of purchasing a watch, getting conformation, then finding out later that it isn’t available but they would put me on a list and let me know if it becomes available. I found the uncertainty too stressful.

I do plan to use Jomashop for my Aqua Terra 220.12.38.20.02.001 purchase. I'll be saving around $1500 and I think that might be worth it to me over the manufacturer's warranty. Not 100% but I believe that is the route I will go later this year.

Consider Chrono 24, you may be able to find your Omega at a discount with a manufacturer’s warranty at a slightly higher price than Jomashop.
