It's hard to describe but some guys just kinda get hit by a lot of pitches?? In my rec leagues growing up one of the kids from my grade was one of them, idk what it is about him but he would get hit by a pitch every game (I even hit him once myself in fact, probably because I was thinking all this while trying to pitch) There was also a kid at one of the baseball tournaments I played in who his family was saying he was getting hit by the pitch nearly every plate appearance, and they were saying "It has to be intentional right? By why would it be?" and my team also ended up hitting him with a pitch that game. I guess it's something psychological? And probably also has to do with a lack of pitching control as well (I know I personally was not an accurate pitcher in rec league lol)
