Context: This was the second incident of the game between Rieleros de Aguascalientes (Gray) and Toros de Tijuana (Black). One player from each team was ejected for brawling after a HBP in the 6th inning. Also, these teams had another bench-clearing brawl 11 days ago after a reliever from Aguascalientes celebrated a strikeout on Ricky Alvarez from Tijuana who didn't like that and started a fight. Edit: I found out some more about the consequences of this from the official LMB website. The guy who threw the HBP in this video was suspended 6 games and fined 28k pesos. The guy who attacked the pitcher with the bat is suspended 10 games and fined 42k pesos, as a note, he would have been expelled from the league if he hit the pitcher. In total 10 players were suspended and were fined a total 190k pesos.

Bats are lopsided in weight distribution, so throwing one accurately is actually difficult. It would be more accurate to throw a baseball bat like a throwing knife to prevent it's trajectory going to either right or left.

They fly just fine for me. That was just a bad throw. Lopsided weight distribution hardly matters when the bat is spinning. You just have to account for the fact that it will spin around its center of gravity which isnt in the middle of the bat but towards the tip. Source: I just threw my bat a half dozen times.

The helmet throw is a very difficult throw because usually you are throwing by gripping the earpiece or the visor, and they are both slick plastic without a good surface so this is why you don't see very good helmet throws. It's much better to just hold on to the helmet through the ear hole and smash your intended victim over the head with it without letting go. That way you can smash them several times.

I had this happen in a semi pro game in Tahoe one time. Guy started charging the mound and I was working the dish and told the batter to drop the bat three times. I picked him up and body slammed him. Everybody returned to their respective dugouts after that except him
