Paul - all the water is up top in the bulb looking part. The stem of the water tower has pipes, maybe pumps and a ladder. The ladder goes through the bulb to a hatch on top(to clean and paint). No, you won't get wet!

It's really not safe for you to be giving out false information that could get people hurt. There is absolutely water in the entire thing and if you turn that handle it will rocket open, injuring anyone in the way, and huge amounts of water will rush out. Not to mention the entire town will lose water pressure.

As a lhbh player I'd say 98% of courses are designed to cater to the rhbh shot shape. In the 5-6 years I've been watching coverage a left hand golfer has never been entirely successful on tour

Uli -- it's piping, pipe manifolds, valves, electric motors and pumps in the base of the tower and a couple of cabinets full of pump controllers and electrical switchgear. I haven't been in that one but I've worked for a water utility.

IDK if I agree with that. I don't think you're wrong, but I also like that even at the pro level, we're watching people play a game, They could have fixed this with just a more concise rule. If you're disc is touching a water hazard, you're out of bounds. Sticks, stems, magical unicorns or whatever. Water hazards are out of bounds. It's that simple.

Constructive criticism for the camera crew: please try to set exposure based on the player or ground. There were many shots that it seemed like the camera was trying to properly expose the sky, which made the players and ground too dark.

Ok so, it doesn't matter where the disc is when they get to it since it could have been moved by the waves. Shouldn't the call be made when the disc lands. If it looks like it's inbounds from the tee, you gotta call it in. You gotta give benefit to the player. Similarly if you see the disc land in water but it's in when you walk up to it, you wouldn't suddenly call it in. You can't have it both ways.

Here's my comment on hole 14 paul OB situation. I'm not gonna be the one to call that out. If it's touching just a bit of land, it's in right? Even a stick. Especially in a round with buds. Maybe not so much in a competitive round...That being said, I feel like that was OB. But it is up to the card.

Dispite what some may think, there was 4 refs on the call on 14. They were there, we weren't. It was the right call no matter what the call was. I am biased because I do root for Paul but, even if it was the another call, it would be the right call.

False, just because a call was made does not make it the right call. I personally think the disc was out but I do believe there is an argument for it being in. But saying that the right call is always what is called is false. Refs make mistakes too. Soccer games have been lost from missed goal calls that were proven later. Just because the refs missed the call at the time, doesn't make their call automatically correct. It just means that is the call the game will take.

@josiahgrant70 the truth is this, wr will never know if the call was correct it or not. It is entirely possible 4 people got the call wrong. In reality, the choice really falls on 3 players not 4. If there is any possibility it could be in, Paul has to take thar stance. From here, all you need is to convince 2 of the 3 other players that's it's possibly in. For instance, the disc may have landed in bounds but was pulled OB by the waters waves/current while they were walking up to it. If that were the case, Paul would get the call. On the other hand, the disc could have just landed purely OB. In addition to this, as a player, do you want to get on the wrong side of disc golf's most prominent name? Probably not. My point is this, there are a lot of factors at play. Personally, I lean towards it being OB but if I was on the card I'd probably give Paul the in bounds call because I can't prove option A listed above didn't happen. When in doubt, you should give the player the call they want. With that said, that doesn't mean the call is correct. It's the correct call to make with the information I have. But that doesn't mean that the disc wasn't truly OB. Do you see what I'm saying?

The editing is not good. Try watching their drives on 13. After 1 second it switches to catch cam and you have no idea whats going on (you can just see the disc in the sky). Then there is a drive where it doesn't switch to catch cam - and I instantly knows it will end in the water. Some holes it makes sense to switch quickly but then why have catch cam at the basket? place it longer back so it can follow the disc. It must also be frustrating for Jerm og and Uli. They have to guess on the outcome from watching 1 second of the drive. Mostly they just have to sit and wait for the disc to land. The editing of the Jomez FPO coverage is really good.

Paul Ulibarri. The door on the water tower goes to a dry chamber around the actual ware pipe. So if you opened that door you’d see a 10/12” diameter pipe right in the middle going into the ground to supply gravity fed water pressure. Also I’m a 54 year old amateur that throws 250’ max and I bet I could beat you in a round of disc golf. Love the work you do, keep it up. Good stuff.
