Fantastic to see round one scoring through the hole of our feature card. I want to pile on to the getting all four card members scores back at the bottom though. It makes everything so much easier to follow. As an added bonus, showing all four scores helps for context when you want to make highlight reels with your footage later. I don't see a downside so I'm not sure why they were ever removed in the first place.

@@Frelzor if you go watch the practice round, Jerm made a comment (good advice, bad timing, tried to defend the point) after Uli missed a putt. Uli (in his defense is a professional with more wins than almost anyone alive) took it the wrong way. They got chippy to the point the editors had to cut it out and Pappa Nate had to explain the mood shift to the camera. It was icy 🥶.

Relieved that you folks brought back the old scoring system for the first day - any way you can keep it for all of the early rounds and only use live scoring for the final round? It doesn't seem like other player's scores are really going to impact how a lot of these holes are played until the final round, so it's not enhancing my viewing experience to give "live" updates on the other days. Again - it forces me to watch the chase card first to avoid spoilers. Thanks for listening! Great content and commentary - it's why I prefer post-produced to live!

I kind of like the "live" scores and the thing you are doing with round 1 here. but i feel like you are moving the goalpost a bit, when you switched you also removed being able to see the whole card at once, I find myself not even realizing if the player is doing good or bad. Now i just see the shots and all of a sudden: "what, linus is doing THAT bad?". i REALLY miss the graphic for the whole card always showing, It was honestly what turned my on to jomez in the first place and i've been watching gatekeeper alot more instead of jomez after this change. although that contains some bias since the chase cards have been so great this year too which is what they are covering Gatekeeper's cameras also shows distance and speed of the disc way better which to me is more important than pretty colours as long as its not absolute trash quality, while at the topic of criticism :) I'm never gonna not watch as long as you have Sexton though, love what the guy brings to the trio

Oregon boasts about the courses along I-5 and the Portland Metro area --> uses a golf course that rarely hosts disc golf except for 1-2 weekends outside of the biggest PDGA event

If you want stable, and have average arm speed, Discmania Method works really well for me. If you want a disc that absolutely dumps out, Discmania Mutant is very OS, but I can't get it to fly very far. YMMV. FYI, I throw a bit of everything, mainly Innova, but for whatever reason I really like Discmania midranges. Good luck.

You guys should mic up the leader going into round 2 and 3 so we can hear what they are thinking when it comes to their shot. I think I would interesting to see what their thought process is

It would be really great to have those insights, but having a mic on is fairly uncomfortable and potentially distracting for a player. The mics they use require a cable going from the neck/collar area of their shirt all the way down their chest or back to their pants where it plugs into a transmitter that weighs at least as much as a big smartphone. It pretty often is a problem during GK Pro Skins for instance. Also, if a player doesn’t have a caddy they talk to most of the pros don’t verbalize their strategy during tournaments so it might be a little more silent than you expect. Not trying to dunk on ya at all I like the idea a lot.

The basket chains need to be engineered better. Either they are aluminum or the gage is off. Too much whipping motion upon being hit. May need a gradient of chain link sizes going through the chains to solve the problem-sort of the inverse of a fly fishing setup.

There are so many examples of this where Jerm tries to make Uli feel like an idiot for silly things he says either to himself or as a joke. Jerm has an issue with taking things very literally sometimes and comes off as a total asshole.

Definitely. I thought Jerm was way out of line for getting that serious over Uli making a comment to himself over his preputt routine. It was none of Jerm’s business. The nonsense he went on about with the “don’t put that into the fan’s heads” was the biggest cop out and he didn’t need to come down on Uli like that. It was completely uncalled for and Nate made that pretty clear even by not saying anything. He didn’t back Jerm up on that because he knew it was a ridiculous take. Uli literally just said what everyone is thinking while putting and it was a PRACTICE ROUND. I couldn’t help but think how much of an asshole Jerm was for laying into Uli like that. Really ruined a lot of respect I had for him from this channel.

Ok. Hole by hole scoring is not how the players see it. They are watching the live scoring. Any tournament you go to either to play or watch, you'll be watching live scoring. When leadd card walks up to hole 18, they know what the score to beat is, any one on udisc at the time knows what the score to beat is, I feel like we should to. I think knowing what the players know adds to the excitement.

I think it's way more exciting to see where all the players are at on the current hole than a fake "live" view because I don't put myself in the shoes of an individual player, I'm paying attention to the whole tournament through the scoreboard. However, Jomez might be on to something by showing scores on the current hole and then changing to live scores.
