I reply as follows: * thanks for including a handy neighborhood map at 0:59 for the benefit of those still learning about Jomtien Beach (Hat Chom Thian); * as another tip, the English translation of the bracketed Thai text appearing in the lower half of the overhead traffic sign at 5:20 is "To Koh Larn"; * funny seeing the three soi dogs chase the two dogs in the passing truck at 6:19; * the weather? Right now it's 11:38AM, 8°C and 64% humidity in the South Bronx, NY, USA 😆; * it appears you've developed a slight limp, favoring your right leg. Maybe it's just the "selfie stick" affecting your gait. Regarding the "Beachspot Bar & Restaurant": * to its left, a sign at 6:25 reads, "Toilet 10, Bath 20 - take this alley"; * its orange "Breakfast" sign at 6:35 normally states breakfast is 139THB, but the price is concealed for high season; * I agree your breakfast (at 7:21) was somewhat unusual. I would swap the salad for more potatoes; * the "Cafe le Mar" beside the Cetus condos (at 5:20) also has great breakfast specials, starting at 129THB. Thanks again.

Yes Heath I was thinking that your breakfast looked like the usual Thai version of a "Full English" with lots of stuff they hadn't sold the night before added for free? As regards the weather over here I can back up your last contributor's comment of frost in Chesterfield. I was working the Chesterfield v Eastfield FC game dressed in 2 pair of socks, long johns, black chinos, five layers on my top half plus wooly hat and gloves and I don't think I'd thawed out much before MOTD at 22:20. This morning in Sunny Sheffield the forecast said 1 degree getting up to a maximum of 4. I ventured out for supplies at midday and there wern't many people about. Anyway good relaxing video as always Matey see you for a roof top coffee in 50 or so days. Take care my friend and good to hearing you are feeling better 😎

Good day, Heath. Thank you for the beautiful and soothing videos. If you have a moment, I have a quick question about food in Thailand. I know Thai cuisine can be spicy and features a lot of pork dishes. I have some food allergies and health conditions that limit my diet. Basically, I (edit) cannot eat anything spicy, or anything that has pork in it. Is it possibly to find a variety of chicken, beef and seafood, as well as rice and bland vegetables in markets and at street vendor? Or is pretty much everything going to be, at least, somewhat spicy? If I’m ever able to make it to Thailand, I’d love to eat at local places, not western restaurants. But my dietary restrictions are fairly intense. Thanks in advance if you can offer any answer, advice or suggestions. Cheers!

Hi Jeff. Thanks for your comments. Did you mean you "can't" eat spicy or pork? Yes, you can ask for zero spicy but keep in mind it will probably be cooked in a pan that has previously cooked something spicy. With most fried dishes you will have a choice of chicken or pork, which are the two most common meats in street food (and of course seafood). Just double check when you order in restaurants that they fully understand your request and concerns. An idea would be to have an explanation on your phone in Thai to show them. Use Google translate or ask any lady in a bar to help with this. 😎
