Jon Batiste stands as one of the most extraordinary and prolific musicians in history. His musical journey has been nothing short of remarkable. In 2018, the world recognized his brilliance as he earned a Grammy nomination in the Best American Roots category. But that was just the beginning.
Fast forward to 2020, and Jon Batiste's name was on everyone's lips. He received not one, but two Grammy nominations for his outstanding work on the albums "CHRONOLOGY OF A DREAM: LIVE AT THE VILLAGE VANGUARD" and "MEDITATIONS" (a collaboration with Cory Wong). The accolades didn't stop there. That same year, he clinched an Academy Award for Best Original Score for the Disney/Pixar sensation, "SOUL." I also was told my treatment was permanent until it doesn’t work. Then we will try something else. It’s frightful for my son but I think that he is going to survive my impermanence. I’m Buddhist which accepts this condition of life. You are a lovely young lady. I’m so impressed with your strength and wisdom.All the best❤

My sister died from Acute Leukemia. Devastating. I pray that you look into Macribiotics in addition to your treatments. I know many who recovered, and anything that adds options helps. I know survivors. I know them. Look into adding macrobiotic. They have been studied. Mikio Kushi, after Bombing of Hiroshima founded the institute which does well with blood cancer. Add in all you can. This is not quack, I believe in science. I went every inch of the way with my beloved sister Sara. I know what I am speaking about. Whatever you choose, be well. My sister was my muse. So much out there. But I have seen with my own eyes the results. Acute Leukemia so hard! Such a devil. Reach out to me if you need info. My sister was my life. So much wisdom here! As I am now in my 70's I have struggled with "making the most" of whatever time I have left, without a clue of how much time that is, and while realizing age is saddling me with more limitations every day! I have never been particularly anxious, but at times I have felt those moments of panic! Logically I understand we are here for a limited time, but emotionally I struggle with the "letting go". Your description of facing each day as if it's your FIRST rather than if it's your LAST is life changing! Ironically, that's the way I had been living anyway for most of my life- and apparently I forgot that! Thank you for reminding me! You are amazing!❤❤❤

I’ve had 3 kinds of cancer, the first when I was 22. I’m 61 now. I have also been told “ live every day as if it’s your last”, and oh what a gorgeous thing you did, turning that upside down and deciding to live every day like you’re newly born. That state of limerence some of us have lived in can be filled with whatever we choose, it can be fear, or it can be love. Thank you for being living proof that love is really the only way. This is wonderful. My daughter's beloved partner is starting treatment for angiosarcoma next week. It'll be a brutal 12 weeks of radiation to try to shrink the hockey puck sized tumor in his chest.. and it's insidious tiny "roots"...and then surgery that will leaven 12 in open wound for 1 month then surgery again to try to close it. Needless to say they're both scared out of their minds. I'm going to share this with them. He is also an artist. If you're so inclined, prayers, healing energy and good thoughts are much appreciated. ❣❣❣

One can never live every day like it's their last. That is just a shallow thing to say to someone. What the hell are you supposed to do with that information? I would say, try to live every day. Try to live every day the best you can. And that's what I say to everyone. What a stupid doctor, he makes me so mad. Suleika you are helping so many of us. This day holds potential. Thats amazing, right?
