😘This channel was created to help spread JON Batiste's message of love and staying human. It is not affiliated with JON Batiste other than that's my home man. We are from New Orleans and share a passion for our city.
Jon Batiste stands as one of the most extraordinary and prolific musicians in history. His musical journey has been nothing short of remarkable. In 2018, the world recognized his brilliance as he earned a Grammy nomination in the Best American Roots category. But that was just the beginning.
Fast forward to 2020, and Jon Batiste's name was on everyone's lips. He received not one, but two Grammy nominations for his outstanding work on the albums "CHRONOLOGY OF A DREAM: LIVE AT THE VILLAGE VANGUARD" and "MEDITATIONS" (a collaboration with Cory Wong). The accolades didn't stop there. That same year, he clinched an Academy Award for Best Original Score for the Disney/Pixar sensation, "SOUL." This achievement was all the more special because he shared this honor with the accomplished composers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
Jon's contributions to "SOUL" didn't go unnoticed, as he added a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, a NAACP Image Award, and a Critic's Choice Award to his ever-growing list of accomplishments. His Oscar win made history, placing him in the esteemed company of legendary jazz musician Herbie Hancock as the second black composer to claim an Academy Award for composition.
Batiste's sonic journey continued with the release of his latest studio album, "WE ARE," in March 2021, which was met with resounding critical acclaim. The album's release was nothing short of a game-changer, as he secured an astonishing eleven Grammy nominations across seven diverse categories - a feat never before witnessed in Grammy history. And to top it off, he walked away with five of those Grammys, including the prestigious Album of the Year award.

Jon is a strong person who has a great presence, he knows his value, and the way he presents puts him half way to the finish line when hs is just hearing the get set, go. And the starters gun. The first I heard of Jon Baptiste was when he joined the Stephen Colbert show. He seemed to say very little on the show and mostly responded to Colbert with a laugh or some other sound (from his voice or an instrument). After learning more about him and hearing this speech, I think he is just as grounded, thoughtful and well-spoken as he is talented.
