Did the weight of the wood cause you a lot of problems, is that why you switched it to aluminum? I noticed in the first video you put the fish finder on a separate battery, why was that? Does the foam board help much with the buoyancy? Sorry for all the questions. Great job and very impressive workmanship. I definitely picked up some ideas from these videos

The wood or weight didn’t cause me any problems, but it did stress me out a lot worrying about it causing problems if that makes sense, I didn’t like how low the rear sat in the water but it wasn’t to bad, had it in some pretty rough waters and I’m still alive lol and just didn’t want to drain the main battery, not necessary at all having a extra battery tho, and the foam board only helps when you take on water inside the boat, makes the boat unsinkable if you add enough that is

Which rivet drill attachment did you use? I think that’s one of the biggest barriers to getting into tiny boat building. A brand new Milwaukee rivet gun costs almost as much as ALL of my aluminum, both angle and sheeting (I live in a city where I can get aluminum very cheaply)

I went through 3 different rivet guns, I was like you and was like screw that price tag, I started with the hand pump and there is literally no way to do a tiny boat with a manual rivet gun, then I found a 100 dollar Amazon rivet gun and that lasted a few weeks and then broke so I said screw it I’ll just get a Milwaukee rivet gun and I don’t regret getting it, but yeah they are expensive!
