He was a regular bloke but damn what a talent. Great singer. Great performer too on tv and stage and he had a sense of humour too. He was the full package. The real deal. He even spun a decent hit song out of a silly little tv show. All together now. Silly show but what a song ! That show is more notable for the cast and people rather than the show itself !

First time i'd listened to this in full and it's pretty good. Jon had quite a few hits in the 70's but by the 80's he only managed 2 more top 40 hits. This was one of them peaking at #11 in australia and that was followed in may by 'Carmilla' which peaked at #27. I like 'Some People Have All The Fun' from 1983 which only reached #51

i always felt the verse and chorus of this song were so different it didn't work for me... love Jon's songs and even worked with him in the early 80's... this one always felt like it was forced and not a genuine song.... but Six Ribbons will be in my Top 50 songs of all time... loved Turn The Page, Hollywood 7, Words Are Not Enough.
