Jon Gomm in my opinion one of the best guitarists of recent times, perfect.

The subject matter of this song is enough to bring anybody to the brink of tears if not push them completely over the edge. I was blown away by the sheer power of this track. Keep an eye out for me on September 13th in Brighton. I'll be the guy in the hat with tears rolling down his cheeks.

I got to see Jon recently in Melbourne, Oz and can see how this kind of thing (now a taped on foam pad it looks like) would help along with the 'dual strap' to keep the guitar steady and in position while playing with two hands and of course avoiding noise, as you say, due to the mic in the guitar...fantastic live, a must see...

I've been playing guitar for almost 10 years. Given enough time, I can learn zeppelin songs, Jim Croce songs, even Hendrix songs. I don't even know where to start with emulating Jon gomm.

Parts of this song definitely remind me of 'Initiation' by Tommy Emmanuel! It's just an observation, you are freakin awesome in your own right: great guitarist, singer and songwriter! You have a new fan! Keep making good music! :D

Looks like a towel rolled around something plastic. I imagine it's there to stop the guitar from moving around too much (in this case, from swinging into his abdomen/hip).
