Played this at my older brother's funeral two and a half years ago. He was 27. I was 25. It was only fitting. Like almost every other thing in life, he introduced me to Jon Hopkins. He had bought tickets for me and him to watch Jon Hopkins in DR Koncertsal in CPH, but due to Covid it got cancelled several times. He decided not to be here anymore aroune 9 months before Jon eventually performed the "Polarity" tour in CPH. Ofc, he had left the tickets as the only content on an USB. Me, and a bestest of friend who was/is like a brother to both of us, went to see jon. I was moved beyond words and felt his presense in that beautiful hall in a unique way I haven't since. Today is the first time I'm listening to this since the funeral. I need to stay in touch with you Thomas ❤ I love you everyday. I miss you older brother. Until next time.

For me, the beauty of this 'simple' piano versions is that they sound like a flashback to the night these pieces were born, just Jon improvising around certain chords. Love this atmosphere.

wow, Jon Hopkins.. an all rounder. Great producer, absolute genius at composition and the ability to convey and switch between highly emotive down tempo piano tracks to up tempo forward thinking intelligent dance music that still has just as much emotion. Bring me this man.

It's amazing how some musicians can make you feel so much with relatively simplistic composition. That shows true talent. This piece is so wistful and bittersweet, like sharing beautiful moments with someone you love but who doesn't have too much time left on this earth. Every moment counts and you just wish they could be with you forever.
