That kick to the leg is called the oblique kick. Jon used to use that technique a lot in his younger days. He doesn't use it anymore. Rampage Jackson said in his interview that he's still weak in that leg years after his retirement. Brutal.

no biting, no eye gouging, no fish hooking, no small digit breaking(fingers), no groin shots, no soccer kicks or knees to a grounded opponent (although those were fine in Pride but they didnt allow elbows ), but damn near any way you can think of hurting someone barehanded is legal
