Dude-DC is legitimately one of the most underrated Fighters ever. I do think that most people would rank him somewhere around #8-15 on a List of the Greatest of All Time-So, it’s not like people completely dismiss how great he was; But, I _still_ think he’s underappreciated, for numerous reasons. For one thing, Imho DC is without question, _THE most underrated Striker ever._ He was one of the Greatest/Most effective/Most intelligent MMA Strikers in the history of the Sport… yet people NEVER even talk about it, let alone, consider him one of the best Strikers of all time. His Striking was so good-that _Stipe Miocic,_ a Golden Gloves Boxing Champ-who became the UFC Champ by outboxing guys… That same guy could not stay in the pocket and Box with DC, because DC chewed him up, every single time. And to be clear, I absolutely love Stipe, and I think he’s also Top 10 All Time. I just think that shows how great DC’s Stand-Up was. And it wasn’t just his dirty boxing that was great; He had an excellent jab, and he actually had great technical-kickboxing; he was just rarely able to utilize it because he was always at a huge size disadvantage; So, he had to fight on the inside, and rely on his intelligence. But, if you watch the fights where he didn’t have to stay on the inside-he had beautiful technical Striking. His fight against Nelson is one of the best examples. The fact that people don’t talk about his Striking annoys me so much, that I got heated just thinking about it, and had to go on this insanely long rant lol. Long story short-He is one of the MMA Best Strikers of all time, and he did it all-while being at a massive size disadvantage.

THANK YOU. Imho, Aldo’s resume is way ahead of Jones’s. Aldo fought infinitely better competition. Edgar 2x(Champ), Mendes 2x, Brown(Champ) Faber(Champ), Font, Vera, TKZ, Munhoz, Florian, Hominick, Swanson, Lamas… Aldo was fighting _legit_ top p4p fighters. DC and _maybe_ Gus-were the only guys Jones fought that were legitimately, _”Elite”,_ Top p4p fighters-at the time Jones fought them. Rampage, Chael, Glover, Santos, Smith, OSP… Those guys NEVER would’ve been near the top of their division if they had been 135-155 lbs. It drives me crazy how people just gloss over that. What I meant to say is that GSP all together had 13 title fight wins counting his matches to regain the belt and taking the middleweight belt plus interim belt. In that roster he fought every style of opponent, the best grapplers, the best strikers, and everything in between. When you’re champ you have a target on your back, it’s far more impressive to have a run as champ rather than be a random on a win streak. Styles also make match ups, khabib ended up in a top heavy division of strikers, Conor, Dustin, Gaetje, all his defenses, they’re all strikers, that’s why people wanted to see Tony so badly when they were in their primes. We never really got to see him against an array of elite different styles, he also never went up in weight and tested himself against bigger opponents like GSP did, like Jones is doing, like Mighty Mouse and Anderson Silva and Nunes did. He really has no accolades to his name other undefeated which he had way less fights than all the people above in the UFC so not the most impressive, and won most of his rounds, except once he became champ he lost a round to Conor and he lost a round to Gaetje. It’s not easy to keep such accolades as champ.

Jon Jones is NOT the “most dominant MMA Fighter of all time”. And Imho, to say that he is-is absurd. The most dominant fighter of all time IS *Khabib Nurmagomedov.* Not only is that virtually indisputable-But, to say that _Jon Jones_ was more dominant than Khabib… that’s total insanity. First, let’s talk about when Jones was in his prime and how he did against his toughest opponents: Was he dominant against Gus? Was he dominant against DC? Both of those fights were extremely close/competitive. And notice that I’m not even mentioning the fight against Reyes (which he clearly lost), or the fight against Santos (which he also might’ve lost). I’m not even using those examples because they were later in his career, when he wasn’t at his best. He had dominant performances against Shogun, Rampage, and Evans; He had good/fairly dominant performances against Vitor (apart from the armbar he got caught in), Glover, and Machida (apart from the first round); And he had _”non-dominant/extremely difficult_ fights against Gus and DC-The two best opponents he fought. Now, let’s talk about Khabib and how he did against _his_ toughest opponents: Dominantly beat and submitted Poirier. Dominantly beat and submitted Gaethje. Dominantly beat and submitted Conor. Dominantly beat Dos Anjos for the entire fight. Dominantly beat Barboza for the entire fight. Dominantly beat and submitted Johnson. So… having two extremely competitive fights, a few dominant fights, and a few mildly dominant fights - vs. - never having a single close fight, and completely dominating every fight, and finishing most of them… Which of those resumes is more dominant: Jones’s or Khabib’s?

Jones fought the best competition in the world for a decade. 15 titles. girly man Khabib retired after defense number 3. title for title, Jones was just as dominant at defense number 3, then went on to win another 10+ titles. what would have happened had Khabib tried to go for 10 more? he would have breezed through all of them? doubt it.

Being a dominant Champ at Light Heavyweight _does not mean_ that you are better than a #6 Bantamweight that has been dominated by everyone ranked ahead of him. If a #6 Bantamweight beats #7-10, and those guys are better than the top Light-Heavy contenders - Then, that #6 Bantamweight is a better Fighter than that Light-Heavyweight Champ. The “top contenders” that Jones fought were _nowhere_ near as good as the contenders at 125-170 lbs. Rampage, St. Preux, Sonnen, Teixeira, Smith, Santos, Reyes, etc. etc… If those guys would’ve been smaller and fought at 125-170 lbs. rather than 205-they wouldn’t have even been contenders, let alone-getting title shots. They were _nowhere near_ the level of guys like Aldo, Dillashaw, DJ, Poirier, Holloway, Edgar, Conor, Cejudo, Cruz; and they were nowhere near the level of guys that were at Lightweight while Khabib was in the division. Next - Khabib was MUCH more dominant than Jones. Jones 100% lost to Reyes, he probably lost to Santos, he had an absolutely razor thin fight against Gus, and he had a very close fight against DC; Khabib lost, at MOST-two _rounds._ _Two _*_losses_*_ + two close fights_ vs. _Two close _*_rounds_*_ …_ Khabib was _much more dominant,_ in a _much better division._
