His ego is so blindingly out of control.. even with his intellect he can't stop himself from saying this insane stuff. He really is a fascinating guy. I think he's the best example of why we shouldn't look to these exceptional or "great" people as role models for our society. We too often attach positive connotations to people who are great or exceptional but in reality those are morally neutral things. Alexander the Great was a "great" man in the true meaning of the word.. Vlad the Impaler was an ambitious and exceptional human being. That is a very different thing from being "good" I'm saying this as someone who really isn't against Jon.. sure we can enjoy and even celebrate what a great talent he is but when we ask what kind of example the man is setting; we should ask ourselves if "greatness" is what the rest of society should be looking to as a moral compass.
