Another thing to note is how Jon’s coach was getting him to visualize a waterfall to keep him calm between rounds. It seems like they had the whole fight planned out and it came together perfectly... keep Gustafsson at a distance with Jon’s longer reach so Gus can’t use his boxing, wear him out with kicks, then take him down when the opportunity prevents itself and finish him from there. Not a very eventful fight, but still very strategically impressive.

Strategically this was one of Jon's best performances,, I believe his cool, calm and collected approach is a testament to his maturity both within and outside the octagon. At face value it's easy to make the comment that he has slowed down or he's getting old because he isn't opening a belt fight with a flying knee, but I see this as growth. Jon effortlessly deconstructed Gus, cannot wait to see what he does next. I also thought his boxing had improved immensely, much crisper.

Mike Cardinale that’s the fight I want to see! No drug testing, and Lesnar not pretending for a second he knows how to strike from his feet.

Jon Jones did NOT look great in this fight he looked a bit rough and sloppy but sure he won. Alexander was DUMB enough to come with exactly the same tactics & techniques as he did in the first fight and think that would get him the win. Would LOVE to see Jones get smashed then have to explain himself at post fight interviews, as he is so cocky and arrogant.

Jones broke Gus down throughout the fight. They have to attack him outside the cage because they can’t beat him inside the cage. Jones is the best bottom line.
