The reason Jones went into the fight on all fours was because he kept having a nightmare every night leading up to the fight that he walked in and got knocked out, no matter what he did he couldn’t stop getting knocked out by Rampage, so he decided to go in on all fours to instantly break away from his dream. It then became his thing and does it before most fights

And yeah I’m sure sean was around watching pride live and isn’t a casual who knows how to use google and youtube and isn’t at all caught up in the post fight decline of the careers of legends. Im sure they were all just on post prime hot streaks and jones happened to catch them all at just the right time where they were all declining and nobody knew it and thats why they were all in title matches. 🙄

Two of my all time favorites. Bones simply took Rampage apart. Those "little legs" chopped him to pieces, and that oblique kick is deadly. Bones’ speed was off the charts, especially when he slipped or missed, he right back on top.

I recall watching Jon Jones fight before. I find it some of the most crowd pleasing moves. He throws out unpredictable moves, risky moves even, just to have a chance to win and that's what sets him apart. One of my favorite fighters. *Jon Jones is a obviously a legend even after his scandals imo but Rampage deserves more credit than he gets these days. His blocks and evades, along with his timing in this part of his career are extremely underrated for a guy of his size and wide build. That wheel kick duck at **1:58** is textbook timing for recognition and counter into double leg*

Well, "this guy" was quinton rampage jackson. He is easily the most intimidating fighter ever. The man had tremendously heavy hands and some great wrestling.. you should rewatch how many slams he'd hit on his opponents such as the famous powerbomb to ko arona. Rampage was really intimidating and a very tough opponent to face

I was at this fight in Colorado! Looking back you can tell Jon Jon figured this was going to be an easy fight in the early rounds because of how Rampage was responding to his strikes. His body language when he blocks and responds, he looks like he's already defeated. So Jon tee'd off on him. Even has hands down. Looks away and strikes...this is Jon entering his prime. Glad i got to see it live.

The match makers control who wins and who loses for the most part. Obviously you can't control unpredicted wins but you can control it 80%. They knew damn well this was a bad match up for rampage, Jones is WAY more tachnical and rampage is straight beast mode brawler. They knew.

Yeah I was suprised from Rampages head movement and boxing. Jackson’s hooks were quick and tight. Very good left hook for a non boxer barely any telegraph. Jones was truly unbeatable on this night. Rampage might’ve knocked out any other LHW that night.

Now I understand why Rampage is so opposed to Jon Jones. He was bullied and rag-dolled. I hated Jon for his disrespect of Rampage, from round one to the finish. He beat him up and then choked him out.
