Between Tom and John. Tom is young and hungry, but he is not the best. I really do enjoy his fights, He has talent, but he needs to pay his dues . John has paid his dues, and he has talent. probably one of the all-time best fight IQ in the Business. For his wight class. I predicted the John vrs Stipe fight from the start. Because John has the mind and patience to pick the fight . Recently, Francis has done the same, slowed down, and picked the fight apart. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing like an Explosive fight. Seems like Jones forgets that when he was coming up, the more senior established fighters didn’t shy away from fighting him, they were very willing to put their legacies & titles on the line to give Jones his chance. And now that Jones is in the senior, more established position with the title he’s avoiding the likes of Ngannou & Aspinall. Also seems like Jones forgets that he is the business of professional competitive fighting where the main objective is to achieve the division championship title, and then to defend that title against the #1 contenders so long as you hold the title… If Jones is no longer interested in fighting the #1 contenders & feels he has nothing left to prove, that’s perfectly fine but he should relinquish the title & move on. He ducked Ngannou and now he’s making every excuse not to take the fight with Tom Aspinall.. instead he’s cherry picking his fights with older fighters who are past their prime because he knows they will more assure him a win. Basically he’s scared to eventually lose the title, so he’s stalling, ducking & asking for ridiculous money not to fight the real contenders, then looking to take fights with aging less challenging fighters to hold the title hostage for as long as possible.

Like I said before being a champion beating everyone in light heavyweight compared to doing the same at heavyweight is like comparing a college football superstar to an NFL superstar.
