ジョン・ノーラムがライヴ会場にて愛用機材を紹介！ 2022

約12年ぶりとなるソロ・アルバム『GONE TO STAY』を10月28日にリリースしたジョン・ノーラム。ヤング・ギター11月号ではこの作品にまつわる最新インタビューを掲載している。これに際し、ジョンがヨーロッパのライヴ会場のバックステージにて撮影した機材紹介動画を提供してくれた。
誌面に掲載したインタビューをご覧いただければわかるように、彼は自身の機材の話になると、とことん語り倒してしまうタイプ。この動画は全体の尺こそ短いものの、ジョンがギターやアンプ、エフェクトを解説するその口調から、機材に対する愛情の深さが伝わってくるはずだ。

メインのストラトがフェンジャパ、しかもバスウッドボディだと割と廉価なモデルですよね。メタル系の音作りだとクセの無いバスウッドが使いやすいのカモですが、なんだか嬉しいです。 Vやレスポールのテールピースをアルミ製とか、細かい説明もとても親切ですね♪ ところで金◯の付いたギターはどれ？　(//∇//;)?

7:58. These are dummy heads. They aren't even powered or connected to the cabs. The only small cables that go into them come from 9 V or 12 V power supply, which I assume is, for powering LED's that light up on the front panel.

Yeah, those Plexi's are just for show. They had small wires going to them, which makes me think they have LED's that light up to fool the audience. Yngwie does the same thing. Still looks cool on stage tho.
