Always appreciate your honest perspective! Would love to see you do a before/after video of some of your favorite wigs and what you did to make them your own. I tend to return a lot of wigs because I think they look too “wiggy”. We aren’t allowed to play with them and I don’t have the confidence to keep them and modify them. Taz you are a blessing sweetheart! I picked January for Black Friday sale and debating on hand tied vs the monofilament. Thought I’d get on my trusted uTube to see if any videos. Lo and behold here you are! I’m a 21” circumference too and I’m glad I saw this would be best to get the hand tied but check out what other people are saying about it. Stressful to get a wig that is too big. Especially if you love the style. Ok well you gave good information as always Mrs Taz! Thank you! @@pattycarosi9618 I have stuck to medium, and two shorter styles, love Gia by Envy. It is too big, as they All arę, but am able to adjust. I found Tiger Sugar very large, and need to work with it, as it is very long, and looked awful after boxing. Also bought Estetica Blaze, way too much hair for my little head, but have tor worked with that one, either. Husband will be out this am, so I have Time to play today.

I love January!!! It’s my favorite of all time, and I’ve never had a problem with any of my regular January or my hand tied. No one can tell it’s a wig, I’ve used products and fluffed it. I actually have several January‘s that are not hand tied that are very low density and I was wondering if there was enough hair on them so you get what you get by January is still my favorite.

Hand tied Jon Renau styles are wonderful! I have this wig in Shaded Mocha, but still feel like it’s pretty big, although, it’s very light. I find Jon Renau Jon Renau hand tied caps much cooler than wigs with permatease.

Wow! Talk about variations between wigs! I have a regular January Ang from the outside it looks just like the hand tied version. Another interesting note is I do not like much permatease AT ALL. My original January has almost none. I have to really struggle to detect any and the density is light, whisky and I actually got it specifically for summer. I feel very luck I got one with the variances that I did, because otherwise I wouldn't have loved it like I do. I do love Jon Renau hand tied caps, in fact I love my 2 Juliannes. Going forward I will be getting another January, BUT it will be a handtied, because I doubt ID luck out a second time! LOL. I do really like that they have it in a hand tied version, knowing that they don't normally come that way. Great review, you look beautiful as always. Blessings to you my friend.

Ah, you finally got one! Is the one you're wearing the one you got from me? I started to thin all my January pieces on the sides so she would lay better, liked the hand tied *much* better, but I wore them so much, I got a bit tired of Ms. January, especially after wearing so many Belle Tress styles with lower density. I still have my petite January in Martini, but she's in a box for summer in favor of my Belle Tress Lemonade. I know you told me you wanted to get a hand tied version of January and I'm glad you like her so much better! She really is a lovely style, always thought so of I would not have owned multiple units.

I love it, but did have to perform some major surgery to get it just right! And I have to agree.. with so many cute Belle Tress styles I find myself reaching for those in the heat too! Some do need that tweaking for sure! I began thinning all my January pieces except the hand tied. We are in a major heat wave, even for the mountains and certainly for June, ack! I find I can't wear anything except my Lemonade at the moment and not unless I'm going to be seen by someone other than my chickens, cat and husband. It's just a scorcher! Stay cool, my friend!

Great review! The style of this wig reminds me of my" Brave The Wave" by Raquel Welch. It is a love/hate relationship for me as well. However, "Brave The Wave" has no perma tease. Just takes a while to style. I usually wear mine with a cute headband, keeps the shorter pieces, in the front, in place. Enjoy your weekend!

@@deannamcdonald-detemple7659 Lite is lace all the way around the front beyond the ear tabs. Both the ear tabs and nape are silicone as opposed to felt. Makes the wig much lighter. I barely feel mine on my head. I have a Cameron Lite.

I wanted to love my January hand-tied but it was too FULL of volume and seemed like it had cotton batting mixed in with her. I got it on clearance thank goodness! I saw your video on thinning your other January so will give that a try. If not, oh well, can't win em all!! Great review as always!!

Omg. Good to know the regular January has those little hairs. My nemesis scarlett and I have been struggling with these hairs. I can't get her to look normal on my head. I think it's from those little hairs. I've been going in and cutting them all the way down. It'll be interesting to see if I can turn it into something wearable for me. If not it'll be a winter hat wig. Lol

Hi Taz, sorry if my question may be redundant. I have been looking at the JR January. It is rather expensive. I note in both the descriptions of the non-hand-tied and the hand-tied, that they are both the same weight, 2.9 ounces, which is interesting. Nevertheless, I have been wearing Belle Tress styles for a couple of years. Would you compare any of the Belle Tress style(s) to the January style? Thanks in advance.

This reminds me of all my Bon Bon’s from Belle Tress. Ive ordered 5 or 6 of them. They are all different when they come out of the box. My first one was perfect. The others not so much. Ive had to make them work for me. I just really hate they don’t last any longer than they do without applying heat. Even then, it’s hard to get the same style back again.

I want to tell you what happened when I was wearing Raquel Welch’s … Simmer Elite …! It was after Church and was in the car and one hair strand kept getting in front of my eyes … well I got aggravated and reached for it and pulled it out! Boy … was I horrified when reality set in!
