My husband is exactly like you ... yes I’ve learned so much from his many lessons on “how to” ,, but man it still does not come naturally !! I’m always in trouble haha you should see how I try cut my onions and tomatoes or avacado ( any vegetables) .. to me it has the same result but because my process is “entirely” corrupting the right way of doing it .. he can’t handle it lol and takes over .. absolutely love watching you Jon ! Oh and the cutlery and knives all the same here too !! Hehe .. he thinks I do it on purpose “against him” I sincerely don’t , my theory is ,, “that my brain is just way above the simple need of the order of these things “ and I will pay attention to just living .. I’m still clean .. 22 years later we still together though hahaha

I hand wash so I turn the spoons over like you said and everything has it's place in the drawers, even the direction of the cutlery. Plus the size of each fork or spoon and frequency of use are part of putting them away. I think I need a life. Thank you for another classic vid and take care of yourself please, Mate

Yeah, but i just do the glases in a second batch with new water once the first batch is dry. More space on the drying rack and my clumpsy ass breaks less glases. (Why not the glasses first? Well, glasses tend to have the least crusting stuff in them. The baking tray needs to be washed asap, the water in the glas... not so much. Not even a milk glas needs more than a wee soak).

He's so flipping adorable! And every single one of his points I felt in my soul. Can't say how hard its been trying to be okay with the results when my husband tries to clean anything. Like I'm supposed to be happy that he's helping bc others don't. Nooooooo. I'd rather he didn't bc he doesn't do it bloody right! Then here I am looking at the dish cupboard where he put the dishes willy nilly and act like not only am I trying not to pull my hair out at the sight of the disarray, but I'm supposed to be proud of him for putting them away. 🥺😭 Running on anxiety like that is literally exhausting. 😣
@Desimere
@Desimere 4 ай бұрын
I relate to this, but i've gotten better recently. It helps to keep chores separate. If you have your own system for dishes, it really sucks when someone comes and messes with it. But if one person deals with the laundry, another with the dishes, it's easier. And if something is wrong with the outcome, it can be pointed out. Then if your partner is a nice person, they will try to adjust their process to avoid causing you problems.

The most efficient way to never have to do a task again is to do it wrong consistently until someone who cares gives up & does it instead. This is also a brief instruction on how to be a jerk who is seen as inept. Having said that, there Are people who simply can't handle the recycling rules (for instance). I tell everyone to just toss it on the floor in the correct general area & I'll take care of it. Sadly, this has proven to be the best system. It's fine, tho. Humour is one thing, but educational humour is a level above. Most young men learn how to look after themselves when they go flatting but they often learn from the guys they flat with so they really don't learn much at all. I was going to say you should do classes in flatting etiquette for young people and old men who have lost their wives and have no one to show them what their wives did for them all those years, but really your stand up routines are those classes. As they are though, they are a bit disorganised and messy... do you think you could tidy them up into a DVD or a podcast or something so there is order and structure... 😇

Did you ever watch someone "clean" something but apparently they think cleaning is just wiping the whole surface once even though you can clearly still see dirt or grime? It's like they watched someone clean once and went "oh i get it, clean = make this wiping motion, i did the motion therefore it's clean" no you idiot, you have to keep going until it's ACTUALLY CLEAN!

Quite big mouth for someone who apparently does not rinse with clear water in the end after washing stuff by hand. Guess what, everything leaves a soapy gully water taste, not only the wine glasses.
