Saw Sean do this in Freshers week at Northumbria university in 1998. I'd never heard of him and the room became more and more disengaged as the show went on. He ended with this riddler bit and people were just all chatting amongst themselves. I felt bad for him and didn't expect to ever hear of him again. Lo and behold he turned up on TV a couple of years later. I couldn't believe this guy that had bombed so badly could be getting on TV! But he won me over and for the last 15 years he was one of my favourite comedians. Seeing this bit now, with an attentive appreciative crowd - it's just so good! RIP Sean.

Battled his illness bravely, only a few close people knew, which is how it should be, that's why it has come as such a shock. I hope his family can get some solace in knowing we all loved him, he made us laugh, no that's not right, he made us ache with laughter, he made us cfy with laughter.
