People who wine and complain about Aston Martins have one thing in common with each other, they have never driven one. I drove a four year old V8 Vantage about two years ago, my attitude was changed instantly to “fan”, as in “I want one”. Nice review guys!

R Troyer completely agree with everything you’ve just said. Aston Martin have never been on my radar until two weeks ago when I got to drive a 2017 Vanquish on the road. Now their very much on my radar and the Vanquish 😵 what a car... the sound, the acceleration and handling, not to mention the comfort. Yeap comfort! In a supercar. I think there’s to many Italian supercars screaming for attention and looking amazingly crazy doesn’t help the good old British equally as good-a-car car... if that makes sense!

I thought exactly that... it looks awful, almost like it would pinch at the bottom where the door and body panel meet when you open or close the door. And check out the wheel arch - left compared to right. This car, for all that it's pricey, looks like it was assembled by 4th-graders.

@@MarcCoteMusic unfortunately, to ensure the door doesn't foul on the front wing, the lines and contours are such that there's an offset. A feature of most AM's is doors that tilt upward upon opening (to help in tight parking spaces). However, it means they're subject to criticism on the internet under the guise of "misfitting panels" and "assembled by 4th-graders". When you visit the factory, you'll see the people working there aren't the neanderthals described by the car building experts commenting above. I was fortunate to test drive the new Vantage last week; wonderful bit of kit - properly sorted, sounds great, great poise, nimble, enough power to keep up with most things on the road.

@@JXBModels - I wondered about that. The door gap seemed so egregious that I can't imagine how it might have passed what is presumably a fairly comprehensive inspection before leaving the factory. Surely there is another way of doing this, though... it looks awful. In any case, thank you for the info.

This car alongside the GT3 RS would be my dream queens in my garage with my daily driver, a Giulia Quarifoglio or Stelvio Quadrifoglio. Not a bad review. That throaty snarly v8 is enough to turn heads at every corner possible.

Very enjoyable having the owner give their opinions, I think you have stumbled into wonderful/delightful way to bring out info on vehicles. You with your knowledge and the owner with his/her passion or lack of I believe makes a better look at vehicle rather than if this nut was torqued another 5# it would be a better vehicle. I enjoy it better when the owner is hiding off to the side, you can see his shadow in the picture it seems like he bought a Toyota Corolla and nobody even cares what color it is. Get their excitement and passion of ownership on film like when John said about the gauges. I would think Astonmartin might be able to do reprogram on the dash.

I really like this style of video! I think you should do it more! Do Mr JWW, Shmee, TGE etc 😊 I really didn't like the Vantage at first, as I loved the old one so much! The styling was horrid in my mind and the Mercedes Powerplant really made me dislike it instantly! But after time I love this car! The styling is so beautiful! Still a little iffy on the engine! But Jon seems to really love it so fair play to him! Love his choice in colour too! Absolutely stunning 😊 great video Paul 😊

Love it...... only thing I would change is the carbon badge front and rear and blacked out Aston Martin badge..... and black callipers. All the haters.... couldn’t care less about the panel gaps... when the panels are that gorgeous!!!

Great content guys - I collected mine in September and just love it. Great sound and even better with quad exhaust. My first AM and would certainly buy another no issues with build quality as it’s excellent imo. I think it has it all a real head turner

This car represents why sensible people opt for Porsche instead of this eye-candy. Quality might indeed be the 1st. Somebody said these are handbuilt which is unlikely but even if they were there is no excuse for such a shabby fitment. Sheds have better aligned panels.

The head lights. Totally don't like it. It's the only thing, that i want to change in this car. Somehow It's remind me Mazda. Not the RX7, which would not be so bad, but Mazda 323 F. Absolutely not fit for new Vantage exterior design, in my opinion.

Nice exhaust note, fenders and interior. But front is miata ugly, and rear is volvo ugly. Missing a sunroof. Aston Martin should have made it look like the DB10 but instead fucked up a good thing. I'd rather get the Ferrari Portofino than this ugly duckling, plus Ferrari has open air for more fun.
