My main issue with this version of the Vantage was the gearbox. It’s an auto, not even a duel clutch. Drive it back to back with PDK and it really shows its shortcomings. I’m not sure the styling will stand the test of time like the older cars. All that said, get the infotainment sorted by adding Apple CarPlay and at 70k/80k it’s a lot of car for the money.

Vantage with the traditional grill looks fantastic. Cant get myself to love the dashboard and infotainment aesthetic however. Whereas, the new car has everything I’m looking for…. But it’s crazy prices.. so will stuck with my McLaren 570 Spider for a while yet me thinks.

Going to be an interesting part 2 as huge difference in price between this car and new car now! Really like the 570s Spider 🕷️

I think it would’ve been more successful if they launched it with the bar front grill and kept this bottom feeder front grill for the F1 version or whatever

To be fair to Richard he isn’t a car reviewer. If you watch him for reviews you will be disappointed. But his take on old V new Vantage is valid. But remember he thinks his old Vantage is better than a 992 Touring….. He might have some bias. 😂

I went straight out in the v12 Vantage after and my smile returned 😊 On the day the CTR Vantage was better than the Porsche but again only a short time in the Porsche. It’s my opinion on the day and happy with everyone’s opinion. I have 30 cars here and I am jumping between Kw - Intrax - Ohlins - standard - 4 6 8 10 12 Cylinders regularly on crap roads 🤣 Although the summer is here soon

@@Challengetheroad all good Richard. Having owned both too, (std Vantage not a CTR), I struggle to believe the V8 CTR is better than a 992, and I have love for both. But I think you would be the first to admit you have some bias. It does make for good banter and KZbin footage. To be honest you can’t go wrong with either I think? My offer still stands for both of us to drive them back to back….
