I played the fan translation of Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru which is called From Whom the Frog the Bell Tolls. Which has Prince Sable who is assist trophy from Smash Bros. It's really great. It's a shame it never got localized, it runs on the Link's Awakening engine. Really recommend the game to anyone curious, I had a great time with it.

I've always been fascinated about Mario and Wario since I was a kid! I was really into the Mario franchise back then and I knew the game existed from the bucket trophy in Smash Melee, and it bummed me out so much back then that it was Japan exclusive because I was always super interested in it from the description given

Recently this year I played through Buddy Mission Bond. It was surprisingly good, probably one of the most polished adventure games I've played in a while. Plus it was way longer than I was expecting, clocking in around between 40 and 50h. I want to believe that Nintendo will eventually localize it, there was clearly a lot of effort put into it so it would be a shame if it never came to the west.
@ssssssstssssssss3 жыл бұрын
I've heard a lot of good things about it and have considered playing it. I can't believe NOA is still pulling this crap of not localizing games, though. I thought that ended with the Wii.

I have a couple Japanese games, but it's mostly physical versions of games we only got digitally in the west (Dragon Quest 1-3 on Switch and Override Mech City Brawl on Switch being the main ones). The one Japanese game I own that we technically never got is Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax Ignition on PS4. We did get a version of it on Vita and PS3, but they later re-released it with a couple more characters and a lot of new support characters. It's a really fun simple 2D anime fighter using characters from franchises like Sword Art Online, Virtua Fighter, Valkyria Chronicles, and Ignition added characters from Devil is a Part Timer, Certain Magical Index, and Heavy Object.
