Obama actually came into office and on day one tried to change the status quo. And day one the GOP got together and decided to block everything Obama was asking for. And these were things that would have helped every day Americans. Things we were cheated out of because the GOP wanted to block and stay in power and this has been their strategy ever since.

Mitch McConnell brags about blocking Obama. McConnell led the GOP to block everything that Obama would do, tried to do, wanted to do… He publicly spoke about this and how proud he was that anything that the Obama administration wanted to do he would make sure the GOP would block. This!!! This is the GOP. They don’t care about the people, not even their own constituents, as long as they starve the government of funds and repulse anything that is thought to be of “benefit” to the Democrats. I am so sick of this. I’m a long standing Republican (did NOT vote for ex-president) and I’m ashamed. And I will be voting BLUE on my ballot this fall.

Used to think that until I clicked that he had the majority in both houses and didn't ratified things into law that had been promised, like Roe vs Wade. There are other things but that will do to make the point.

Obama should never have bailed out the banks and Wall Street. He should have bailed out the AMERICAN PEOPLE instead of making the banks whole. They are pulling the same games that they did before and we are still bailing them out. NO ONE IS WATCHING THE HENHOUSE WHILE THE WOLF IS STILL STEALING US BLIND. .

Clinton was 46, Obama was 47, and Carter was 52 when they became Presidents of the US. There needs to be an age cap mandate for both Presidents and Congressional seats in our country. I'd venture that 75 be the age when you have to be OUT of office. So senators can't run after they turn 69, presidents can't run for a term after 71, and House reps are cut off from running at 73. True, anybody can die in office at any age, but the odds are much higher after 75, as our average life exectancy in the US is 76. It may sound ageist, but it is also smart if you want leaders in peak physical/mental form. Besides, there are age minimum requirements to be elected for all these jobs: you have to be 25 to be a House Rep, 30 to be a Senator, and 35 to be President, and those ages were mandated when the average lifespan of an American was 60 years old. Maturity is helpful: infirmity is not.

You do know we have a VP in the event of YOUR POTUS AGING, Right? I'm thrilled Joe is POTUS for his EXPERIENCE, gained while in service to OUR country in politics...He started as a local Councilman and 2 yrs later went to the Senate. Meteoric, because of his experience You should run for a local seat.
@reginafris68226 ай бұрын
@@Cookie-op2pq I like Joe, too, but the negative campaigning about age has become toxic. Plus, there are many young, brilliant candidates in the wings. Btw, not a fan of Harris. Never was, never will be.

@@reginafris6822 I am pretty sure that in 2015, after deciding not to run for President due to his sons death, Vice-President Biden was looking forward to a nice semi retirement, teaching, travelling with his grandchildren etc. Then came Charlottesville, he decided to run again and won. He was probably convinced TFG would fade away or be successfully impeached after jan 6, which might have resulted in his retirement at the end of his first and only term. But a lot of his bipartisan accomplishments are, at least as I see it, the result of being part of politics for as long as he has.
