I have seen a lot of people ask Biden to step down. I don't remember any of them suggesting an alternative or a way to select that alternative in a way that wouldn't split the party. Okay, let's assume Biden steps down. Then what? Who is going to replace him? Who is this miracle candidate without any baggage and for which Republicans wouldn't come up with a lie to smear? There is a shitload of totally valid criticism against Biden. BUT ... I get annoyed when people ask Biden to step down without actually thinking about the consequences. In the last couple of weeks there has been a lot of more ink used on asking Biden to step down than on the fascism Trump wants to implement.

These big changes seem to take about a hundred years to come about. (When I've made timelines to see when movements started and then began to show visible progress.) There seems, to me, to be no other option than to keep trying. Eventually, it will happen. Not as soon as you and I would like, but if we keep working, it will happen.

That does make it seem like it will never happen, since few of us will live to see one hundred years.
