This is my favourite rose, I've folded it many-many times. Just a small tip to make the rose look even better: fold two of them, one from a smaller paper and put it into the middle of the large one. This way you can improve the look; the middle of the rose won't look so empty. Also curl the petals a bit and you have the perfect rose.
@sadisticsweet31403 жыл бұрын
Thats a great idea! I should try it out. Do you have like a specific size paper to use for the smaller one and is it bigger than the leaf?

Having a hard time at 8:50? Tip: Make sure that all of your folds are creased and exact. Turn the paper upside down so that when you fold in the paper, you can guide everything around the square in the middle. It's much easier! Edit: I tried this again with construction paper and found it considerably easier. That or just the fact that I had prior experience

the valley fold we do right after folding the paper into 8 sections horizontally and vertically, that keeps opening up a little when we do this 8:50 twist, thats the problem really! So when doing the twist, turn the paper around, and make sure those initial valley folds dont open up while twisting, and it should work!

To all of those struggling. I crumbled and threw away my first 2 attempts. Tried again and this time really made every fold perfectly. When you get to 8:56, instead of just trying to do it like he does it. Watch the folds and creases that all need to be in sync with each other. Don't rush it really. Just try to follow where his creases are going on every side and I promise you keep doing that you will get it. Took me an hour to get it on my 3rd try. But since then I'm able to do it just as quickly as he does now. Don't give up. It comes out beautifully

Intermediate: You can do it on your first, second, or third try, depending on whether it's low intermediate or not and the amount of experience you have.

Kornelijus Klinga The tulip is the next one I do :-) But I'm pretty sure that if you persevere on the rose, you will do a better than mine (^_^)

One of the most frustrating moments in an otherwise calm hobby. Had to literally walk away. I will try again tomorrow, I really want to make this piece. I am determined so eventually I will get it Day 2: I managed to get somewhat of a flower-esque shape. It’s becoming clear my paper is not as thick as the one in the video. Another soft paper balled into the trash, but one that showed progress

One of my friends was on the bus and a guy sitting next to her silently folded an origami rose and gave it to her. They've been together for 3 years now.
