@amantedellopera1681 Oh? I didn't realise we were having a competition. I am glad you like opera singers - two good ones - from the past. Personally I prefer to think of voices being different from each other rather than better or worse than each other. What a boring world it would be if every tenor sang like each other to a proscribed format. I think Jonas Kaufmann is deserving of his place amongst the "greatest." His voice gives exquisite pleasure to hundreds of thousands of people all over the world which is surely what it's all about. Nobody is belittling the great singers of the past by preferring Jonas Kaufmann.
