You know given what a prolific poaster he is, you could download all of his videos, VoDs and blogs. Run the videos through openai whisper, finetune a (preferably local) LLM with the data. Then give it a system prompt that says "you're the distilled consciousness of Jonathan Blow that's following me around all day" and you'll have a pretty good experience.

5:04 sad face, Iosevka is MY JAM. It works great when you jack the font size up. Everything's super easy to read but you keep the horizontal space due to its narrowness.

I tried choosing a font a couple of times It's impossible When you start comparing the several ones you chose, they all seem wrong somehow I gave up, and just use Consolas

I always just used one until I stumbled over one I liked more. Comparison is a waste of time imho. A while ago I found Iosevka which ticks all the boxes for me, and so I just stick with that everywhere.

All roads lead to Iosevka. There's a flavor of Iosevka for you, and if there's certain styles of glyphs you insist on you can customize that too. Iosevka is font endgame.

When Im doing my game dev in say Unity and Unreal I tend to select code fonts that match the theme of the game im working on at the moment like creepy fonts for horror games and a say medieival style for a medieval type of game. All to get right mood and feel while developing. Same with IDE themes and colors. The tricky part is to find a font/theme combo that has the right style but not being impossible to read at same time. :)

Been using Fira Code (and before the CoC, mixed with jetbrains mono - which is basically the same thing). Sure it's definitely not perfect, but the other fonts are overall just worse. Every time I look for better, I just come back to it :|

This is the only thing me and him have in common lol. Also if someone wants to try out a new font, check out input mono. You can customise it to some extent, and re-produce most major monospace font styles, with more legibility.

Back like 20-ish years ago when I developed on Windows I used Lucida as my font for everything. Now I use the one labelled "monospace" in Konsole, and Deja Vu Sans Mono for everything else. I think it looks fairly good. I used to use Bitstream Vera Sans Mono for a while, but the dash was too small and it kept annoying me.

Why do people keep complaining about ligatures? You can just turn them off in the editor/terminal for all fonts and that's it.

Just went through the same process. Narrowed it down to the ones below. I really love Average Mono, but the zeros need a line or something in the middle. That, and having the brackets be more different would make it perfect for me. I may just modify it myself. Nah... Good looking fonts and readable fonts are different for me. Colors that i think stylish and good is bad for my brain - "agressive salad" is only option that can drive my mind engaged... So sad actually
