Very helpful review - thanks for doing this. I just received one and plan to do a rebind. I'm kind of mystified about the flax cover - so far I haven't been able to find out what the idea is with the flax. To me, it's like they made it with a sandpaper cover. But, now I finally have enough room for all my notes. Writing on scrap pieces and sticking them into regular Bibles results in losing them and breaking the binding on an over-stuffed Bible. Thanks for this review, I'm watching it a year later and these can be had for even a lower price now.

I'm thinking this will be my second journaling Bible purchase. I have a csb journaling but I don't really like the way it reads and it's only been a year I've had it and I've already run out of writing room with 1.5" margins. I alternate between that and a pocket niv. I was first thinking esv or nasb (moreso nasb bc I like the idea of text that doesn't necessarily flow,forcing my mind to slow down and really pay attention) but I keep being drawn to NKJV and this beigy color is perfect.
