Thank you SO much for uploading this beautiful piece of music! It's as if Jerry Goldsmith's Basic Instinct score and John Barry's Body Heat score had a baby! Sleek, melodramatic and uneasy.

Thank you! I loved it from when I saw it in theater as a kid. The John Barry influence is obviously implied as Jonathan Elias was involved with John Barry at the time. All of this, eight years before Jerry Goldsmith's Basic Instinct!

Just read the news on the Brian DePalma website and am so glad they're including this piece! Always been one of my favorite concept trailers and music cues from one as well that perfectly compliments the great Donaggio score. Can't wait!

@@martymcfly754 Except that they didn't go back to the original master for the trailer track. They recycled an old promo from Jonathan Elias (which I myself used for this video: Music For Film (2000), Reference: Milander Schleussner Kaufman Agency EACD 56) and there's a nasty digital blip on the Intrada Release at 00:03 (track 22: "The Extra" Body Double - Trailer) which is also present on the older promo (and which you can hear on my presentation at 00:11). I don't understand why they didn't ask Jonathan Elias for a remaster of that track. Elias Arts is down the street here (Main Street in Santa Monica) and it's not like it's hard to contact him, he has a very good official internet presence (www.eliasarts.com/). Having said that, in 2020, a good use of Izotope RX7 Advanced would probably alleviate this digital blip. @Joan Ramon: Thanks for the kind words!!

Any way you can isolate Jonathan Elias's score for 1988s Shakedown? Another drastically under appreciated score in my opinion.
