The sad thing about death and conflict is that the chaos surrounding it leaves us with no time to come to terms with peace. Good for Harper that despite living the life of a soldier he found the peace he wouldn’t have gotten had he survived the encounter

The cog soldiers need more people like Harper. The fact that he was able to ensure through torture that the locust put him through and STILL managed to escape is remarkable. A true warrior in my eyes.

Good god either this man is just really strong or that drone just let a severely injured man strangle him to death. That being said this is badass. Pretty sure he's the only person to escape the Hollow prison without losing his mind or offing himself. Then he's like "oh yeah, time to sacrifice myself". The COG needed more men like him.

YES YES YES GOD YES I LOVE THIS STORY! The comic about Harper was an emotional rollercoaster and you're absolutely right when you define that ending as bittersweet. Since Gears of war 2 I've Always hoped for a Harper skin, or even a small campaign section in a DLC. I'm really glad you decided to cover his story. Great video as always, keep It up king

Fun Fact when the Raams shadow DLC was in early production Harper along with Clayton were actually going to be a part of it (granted the story was much more different compared to the final product.) But ultimately after a lot of reworking the two were dropped in favor of Minh and Tai, most likely because it would have added more history between Raam and Minh (further reasoning as to why he wanted to personally kill him), and we would see Tai prior to Gears 2. Personally while I was fine with Clayton being left out and Minh being included i feel like Harper should have been left in. Tai as much as i like him he really had very few lines compared to everyone else, and didn't add much to the story. Harper could have used the exposure seeing, as it stands he is still a comic exclusive character, and has only a small bit of backstory prior to his death. We've at the very least had Tai included in comics and some of the novels so we have a fairly good picture about the character overall.
