This is dope! I need find that big book of hip hop photos my dad has and find out which of his works are in there. I don't aspire to shoot musicians, but it's inspiring nonetheless!

I agree and Mannion is as well but in the form of photography. He just explained his body of work in this 20 minute interview. What other photographers you know being paid to speak on radio shows about all the "musicians" they've worked with. Respect art form in its entirely and not just the music portion of it-

The artist makes a picture. or who sets up the layout. Cuz taking a pic is click of a button.

@catkibble60138 жыл бұрын
no, photography is an artform and isn't as simplistic as "clicking a button" unlike you and some others may believe. it is a serious thing, a lot of technicalities go on beyond clicking a button and even before clicking a button. if it was as easy as clicking a button, anyone could do it. but that's clearly not the case. beyond the technical aspects of it, with it being art, a lot of creative and personal aspects of yourself tying into your craft and being passionate about it is really what makes the difference in all artists. even with it being an artform like others, there are always people in it for the money solely or just pursuing it half assed. which is what makes it amazing when passionate and articulate photographers like jonathan mannion come along and can share their experiences and visions. also, a lot of the time, the photographer IS that artist who sets up the layout. it's so much more than a "click of a button"
