Having just watched Bohemia, Belgium, Absentee Landlord & Right is Wrong back to back, I begin to feel empowered. Gotta go to Unbound and get into reading Meades. Big challenge: can I share my Meades enthusiasm with Bsl using Deaf friends when sub-titling so awful and Meades so uncompromisingly fruitfully wordy?

From about 2:55 it's like Mr. Meades is getting the Realtor tour - "It's a lovely shape to live in...the whole vat was a spirit receiver" *toilet flush* Wonderful - I think Ruby Wax is living there now?

Sober non-rectilinear buildings: The Leeds Corn Exchange (great design), the Seattle Sky Needle (almost the defining landmark of the north-western USA), the BMW 4-Cylinder Building (noteworthy, though perhaps not as practical as one would wish), the Royal Albert Hall (unfortunately with disappointing acoustics), The Gherkin (30 St. Mary Axe - though before giving nicknames one had better learn the difference between gherkins, cucumbers, half-cucumbers etc.), most water towers in the American mid-West, practically every large football stadium, etc.

Bring nature inside? Whatever did I want a building for in the first place - if I _want_ to be a dosser, I don't need to buy a house to do it in!
