He didn't vote for anyone, he's not a real person. It's a character played by a British comedian called Tom Walker. It's satire but he also speaks facts.

yeah.. for people not aquainted with the brilliant Jonathan Pie, the premise is he's playing a political news reporter. and in between takes.. he rants at his production crew about something... like this one.. he is often absolutely spot on with his obsevations.. and some of his take downs are a total torrent of elequant hilarious sarcastic piss taking.. really worth a look.. some great ones on Boris.. but obvs its mainly UK political satire so johnny foriegners out there may not get the references.

Tom Walker is a British citizen who just happens to be hyper intelligent remarkably gifted as an actor and fantastically well informed.

In America Bernie Sanders and AOC are classed as the radical far left. In the rest of the world they would be classed as center left at best.

Whilst he’s a character, I think he does believe what he’s blasting and that’s what makes him great at what he does.

He didn't vote for anyone. Mainly because he's a fictional character AND both the character and the comedian playing him, are British. :)

Tom [ aka Jonathan Pie ] generally does rants about British politics. However, we realize the reality of politics, that due to America's sheer economic power & influence in every global sphere of action. We NEED to be aware of what is happening on the western side of 'The Pond'. The reverse is not necessarily true. This was just after Trump got in for the first [ & hopefully only ] time, which was just a couple of months after we, the British [ or at least a small significant faction] had voted to leave the European Union and further diminish our influence. It was based upon an assumption that by nestling up between Trump's arse cheeks, 'we' would magically get the US-UK trade deal, which anyone knows would screw us over totally. Trump was, and is 100% protectionist. Negotiations between a massive superpower & a small bit player who is desperate can only end one way.

Hilary's reaction to defeat was poor but it was nothing compared to Trump's reaction to defeat. It was a full-blown, overgrown toddler, tantrum and one with serious consequences.

It was interesting to see that video... I agree with the sentiment that people need to learn how to engage in conversing with each other again. God gave us 2 ears and one mouth so we should listen twice as much as we speak. I think most Americans are more center of the road in their way of thinking they like policies from both sides of the road. I do agree with you that no one likes to be shoved into a corner and whoever's is doing that is not going to get there votes. I also believe that their are alot of us who want to stand up against what is going wrong in this country but do not know how to do it effectively. Again, I look at technology who says here is some more stuff to distract yourself and the secluding of ourselves from each other that has literally become trendy and popular... if I hear one more person say they are an introvert so they can't engage I am going to scream... pet peeve right now and I could go way more into that topic but I digress... so people don't engage with each other to find out others strengths and how to work together. I also agree, that when you start messing with children you will experience a backlash you never even fathomed could happen...

You're right about both Hillary and Trump being polarizing, but Sanders was polarizing just as well. But he was polarizing simply for being a democratic socialist (not to be confused with the Democratic party, although he does caucus strictly with the Democrats only). To openly refer to oneself as anything "socialist" - in the United States - is going to be very divisive... even though socialism is a beneficial part of our everyday lives. But you're right, Bernie should've been the candidate... however, party leadership was loyal to the Clinton family. Even I supported her over Bernie... I was a fan of Bill, and her because she was strong woman. And I wanted a (left-wing) woman to be President. I was ignorant... I ignored her love for the corporations and big money. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that everyone seems to forget that Hillary only lost because of that stupid, archaic Electoral College. She still won the popular vote - Republicans have only won the popular vote once since the Bush Sr. lost after his first term. Bush Jr. lost his first popular vote in 2000, but won the Electoral College, in his reelection in '04 he won both. Then Trump lost the popular vote in 2016, but got the EC. Lost the popular vote AGAIN in 2020.

Its interesting looking back at the video itself (not just your reaction, of which I 100% am with btw), like in relation to when correcting someone when Labour won the really recent election, saying that Muhammed was the most popular name in the country they tried saying was a fact (its not in reality). Muhammed is the most popular name for *new boys* in 4 out of 9 regions as stated by the Office for National Stats (not the whole of the country), even directly quoting what it actually said. To me that's someone (what they tried stating which wasn't accurate) is just on the surface and not willing to really state genuine facts. I'm to be really honest a political atheist don't really get involved on either side and just try to stay objective where ever possible and to be honest never been happier in that regard lol. Hope you're doing super well?

@@NORSEVIKING Good for you admitting that. I'm a dual US/UK citizen so I'm quite used to British satire. It's supposed to be subtle, whereas US comedy often seems like blunt force in comparison. I think you would probably like Matt Green's comedy. Rosie Holt is brilliant at pretending to be a Tory MP. - It's satire, but I've seen comments by people that don't realise it's satire. Anyway good stuff from you.

Maybe the word I was looking for for him was controversial. He's definitely got his haters too, but he's not known for saying outrageous things, mean tweets, or people around him suddenly dropping dead.
