I am not a catholic but i still will pray for you. I went through a similar situation. Was seperated from my husband for almost 2 years. My marriage was falling apart. But i held on tight to God. Yes is true, but when you pray it in Jesus tongue it connected you to him through time, because God lives off of time, he is greater than time. Praying it in arameic will unite him to you when he praying this special prayer on the mountain and that is alot of graces.

Please understand, there is faith and a belief in supernatural mythologies, but none of it is proven or verifiable in any way. Was there a real Jesus? Did he really say these things? Technically this is medieval Aramaic, which came a few centuries after Christ. 1st century Aramaic is a bit different. It has evolved over the centuries, like any other language.

I think that Jonathan making that tiny mispronounciation at the end makes it even better, so we're reminded through Jonathan that we should be humble in our fallibleness, but courageous and joyful when trying to get to Jesus as close as we possibly can. Like: "God, I'm far from perfect, but here's my everything, for you". Also, something cool about The Chosen is that it doesn't just give good fruit with the episodes of the show, but with the whole process of the production, and the lives of the people involved that come together into a whole "macro-story" for everyone's growth. It's getting to a point that production and people become as important and beautiful as the actual show.

Jesus first prayed this prayer in Aramaic when it was only supposed to be recited in traditional Hebrew, but only certain people knew how to read and speak this language. Jesus released it to the masses and upset a lot of people but gave the chance for freedom to even more. This was beautiful.
