Hey Coach Smith, you booted it....call a time out if you're going for it on 4th down and the play clock's running down. This Oregon State experiment isn't going all that well. I appreciate your loyalty to Chiles, who you probably recruited, and he followed you here, and also a couple of other players too, plus coaches....but c'mon, you had a 5th year QB who transferred in, someone who was already a "proven" factor behind the center....Chiles could have matured on the bench, probably more times than not. "You" lost the BC game cuz you lacked the ability to see what was happening through impartial eyes. You should have been up 14-0 to Michigan at the half...on that last MSU "offensive" play (fumble) it could have been avoided if the QB turned on the jets... loafing around looking for an open man WTF? That's coaching. He's 19 years old, he won't break. Are you trying to give every snap this year so he'll be the guy next year (has this been your plan from the start?)...He's gonna break your heart, cuz if he has any success next year, he'll leave early for the draft of another school. Stop f***ing around.
