I’m delighted. That was totally unexpected and totally awesome. But I’ve watched enough Spartan football to keep my feet on the ground. Just three years ago we lost at home to Rutgers, beat Michigan at Michigan, then got routed at Iowa the following week. Consistency, that’s what counts.

I'm curious about the run by Chiles where he went head first. It was an odd play and the Maryland guy moved aside which was really strange. Almost like the Maryland guy was trying to avoid a targeting call. It was like Aiden just went head first and was barely touched. And maybe they need to teach him to slide?

I think the coaches told him he needs to get the yardage through some contact because on the previous series he scrambled on 3rd and 10 and only got nine because he ran out of bounds trying to reach the football. Against a smaller defensive back he could of definitely got that first down if he would have lowered his shoulder and leaned forward. I think the coaches told him he needs to get those first downs.

Don’t forget in college you are considered down where you start the slide at too which could cause you to be short. He made the right play.

They gotta teach this kid to get those 5 yrd runs and slide… he had a lot of opportunities in I get some quick easy yardage but has to know where the sticks are and how to slide.

I think that run that didn't get the first down prior to that had a impact on that but it did look goofy AF
