When you use solver, you're a cheater. Doesn't matter you did it out in the open. He's NOT the main event champion. Wsop needs to fix this or boycott next year.

Not sure who the interviewer is, but this guy did not ask any hard questions. And it seems like even if he did ask hard questions, Tamayo just would decline to respond. Doesn't seem to be any remorse, nor does it seem like he feels like he did anything wrong. Not an exciting interview IMO.

Johnathan Tamayo's personality is about as interesting as watching paint dry. Forget being an ambassador for Poker, i doubt he could get hired as a volunteer dog catcher.

Thankfully poker isn’t about ‘personality’ but about math, psychology, emotional control, strategic planning, and many other things. I’m sure your ‘personality’ is great tho 😂

On one side i can see how pokerplayers image is i got the upper hand and I can have the lights as i like. However why present yourself as shady ? The moderator has to ask the tough questions !! Happy for Johnathan Tamayo however it seems like the whole story has to many tests and most peoeple want to put it behind them with 24/7 however everyone needs to stop and account for their responsibilities to the different levels that require accounts !! Congratulations to JT. I would demand a redistribution of the $10,000,000 however my demands arent always complied with

Johnathan Tamayo CHEATED and should be stripped off his main event title, His winning should be confiscated and DISQUALIFIED !!!! The $10 Million should go to Jordan Griff and become the Main Event Champion. The Second place prize money should be equally distributed amongst the remaining 7 finalists.

The advantage he got from seeing a solver tell him his ranges, equity, etc and boost his insecure confidence during that heads up was like watching a toddler be told by their parents how to stop playing the grass and open their glove in tee ball.. The hand holding and babysitting of him on that final table made him look pathetic

Damn haters in the comment section don't know what is cheating. Cheating in poker is knowing or seeing what card your opponents are by maybe some technology and it's not the mans fault because it's not in the rule that you cant talk with your colleagues while playing or seeing sone laptop because if it's against the rules they should banned that device in the game.
@redman9582 ай бұрын
It is against the rules to use any software to help you. The WSOP announced this at the beginning of the tournament.

@@redman958 nahh don't make me a fool, if so then that act should be noticed by the officials during game and the opponent didn't even care cuz the only one who cares are haters. IMO, just because you're getting coaching, using solvers to review your own play or run sims is nothing different than a tennis player getting coached or a chess grandmaster running sims. In the end, he still needs to make the decisions at the table in real time. He did nothing to violate the rules. Granted the optics could be better.
@RavensTheNextDynasty4 ай бұрын
Tennis you got penalty for coaching during a match. You can’t leave your chess match to go run a sim during that match. Both your analogy’s are terrible

Tennis is a horrible comparison. As is other sports. In physical sports execution of a strategic play is the hard part. In poker knowing the strategic play is the hard part, execution is easy.
@chrisconkright92594 ай бұрын
Most pool tournaments have a rule against taking a practice shot(or any shot) on another table during a match. That's a common sense rule. Isn't that essentially what a sim does, except millions of iterations?
@patsters7234 ай бұрын
Can’t really compare other sports/games. Poker has no time limits most of the time. You can fold a hand and stand up and walk around until the next hand or do what ever you want. You can blind out a few hands if you want too. This issue should have been handled by the floormen and since nothing was done you really can’t blame the players. Warnings should have been issued or penalties. But at the end of the day they weren’t hiding anything and if they were told to stop I’m sure they would have.
