As always I love the Icon stuff, but given that they are all about attention to detail, I find it a little surprising and disappointing that they've just left the wiring for the mirror turn signals and the rear license plate light exposed. It looks sloppy and exposes these small wires to the elements. In any case I always enjoy hearing from Ward and seeing their new projects.

Eheh, I was going to comment about the wiring of the mirrors too. Well spotted :)

I agree about the wires on the mirrors

I wasn't feeling the open wiring on the side mirror and license plate.

LOVE ICON/Jonathan's eye for detail and autistic/artistic approach to making cars.... wish i had his gift, and/or shop available :) - plus he seems so down to earth !

200k with that hood to fender fit? I guess they can't do 3/16" gaps in CGI...

The scanning is for the parts that they make and add. The body is original.

Passes smog? In Texas if its 25 years or older you can have a engine swap and never pass smog. God I love Texas.

I don't think you can fit much hay in the bed, and I'd never load it with stone or dirt, might break the Art Morris hero suspension.

They didn't keep the thriftmaster engine in the truck. So why call it that?

You had me until the "infotainment" center that will be outdated in 2 years.

That's the cool part about the ISIS inTOUCH NET system that is in the Thrifmaster. You can control the truck with any Wi-Fi enabled touch screen device. As long as it has a browser and a Wi-Fi connection, you're in business. It doesn't need to actually connect to the internet, just a local Wi-Fi connection in the truck. If the head-unit in the truck gets outdated, pop in a new one.

you guys sound like pussies. this is a vehicle made by a guy who designs offroad vehicles Designed to go down tight trails and shit. Not some bitch ass exotic car. quit acting like you are the best "car guys" in the world cause you are are not. If you have never 'leaned' on someones car/truck with a group of friends and had a chat the I dont think you are "real car guys"
@stevestifler46936 жыл бұрын
i Bee Amazin no, you don't lean on someone else's car.

if they are there and they are doing it, you are more than welcome to. you dont get to dictate what other people do with their cars because you do things differently.

You don't even touch someone elses' car without permission. I know it's probably 1/4" steel so it's not going to ding, but it's just rude.

quarter of a million dollars for one of these? how many of the 5 they built for 2014 did they sell? 50,000 -100,000 dollars would be a good price range. I bet someone with skill can build one of this caliber for 30-40,000 dollars total.

if you dont factor in labor for sure. But There is thousands of hours in each of these. It would honestly surprise me if someone could break even on one of these at $100,000. I mean his guys probably make $30-50 an hour, plus tax and all that shit. Plus he operates in california and attempts to go all American made. all of these drive up costs.

They have these sold years into the future. People pay for quality work.... these are works of art to many of us.

Your gonna have to get a hell of a lot more efficient to get to my price point. Nice rides, but, unless yer a millionaire it's too rich for my blood.

Adam should stop talking in this video. The more he talks the more obvious it his that he knows very little about cars. In 1947-1953 there was no emphasis on performance in trucks, a truck was for utility, so their whole talk about the Thriftmaster name was just dumb and uninformed. I loved the truck until I watched this video.
