Love the sunburst Strat. It is a true rock machine. Suggestion: thin strips of foam (like that which comes in a new set of pickups for packing). Cut it in such a way that it will slide inside each spring. You don’t have to worry about and it will stop them from rattling. I read a biopic that SRV’s tech made a paste of graphite and petroleum jelly and lightly coated all contact points, saddles, nut slots and string trees with every string change. Only takes a fractional amount applied with a toothpick. No binding! You’re a great musician, JK!

Jonathan Koh was a pain. It would only rattle or buzz on the 2nd fret high e string ( f#) So you got one hand pressing the string the other hand playing the note. But no 3rd hand to touch all the parts to find the rattling. Got it in the end though. A friends guitar was set up with too straight neck and the string would rattle against the frets behind the fretting hand ☺

You play amazingly well- love your videos. As a pro, you probably want to have back-up's of all your key effects. Have you looked into any of the Fractal gear? I think you would like it- it's next level. I would like to see you review the AFX3. I doubt that thing would break down on you- but you could always keep an FM3 on standby.

Thank you.. I would rather be comfortable working with gear that I’m used to. I have been using line 6 products for the longest time.. just love the way my Helix sounds in conjunction with my playing✌️🤓

@@JonIsJustTooLoud Understood and you sound great either way. To your point, I loved all my old gear and never saw a need to change, until I upgraded. I would never go back. Ironically, I can say it has made me a better player. That's a big statement for me since I play a lot of unplugged and acoustic. I never believed in masking technique with effects- but they can provide a nice compliment. You get exposed to new reference tones that spark new ideas and enhance creativity. You should check out some videos- listen to the "tri-chorus" patch. Combined with your technique, it would sound incredible. On Ytbe- check out "Axe-Fx III 80's Clean Preset" video. It would sound great with Jazz too. I don't have one yet- but it's on "the list." A lot of top musicians are also now playing through this- I believe it's considered to currently be the most powerful processor available. Either way, thanks for sharing all your great videos- you are an incredible musician. Happy Holidays- Cheers!

when a string suddenly breaks, what Steve Vai would do is holding the whammy bar and pressing it down to keep the rest strings in tune as possible as it can be (and it really works for him!), then pick a chance to switch to another guitar quickly. having a guitar for back-up is always helpful.

@@JonIsJustTooLoud Tusq Graph Tech's are great as is the Gotoh Graphite's as for real Bone I avoid them. I've tried every type of material but go back to plain Graphite's. Calcium in Bone constantly changes through time, and humidity no 2 will be the same ever neither will the time they change composition. Also Stew Mac has a Grease for Nuts and Saddles basically what Carlos Santan's Tech created it and has used for years.
