Change the axis mode at the top left of the screen to make the dragger change as required

Hi Jonathan. @ 5.15 you start to edit the shell. When I click on the control point the 3D Dragger seems to align itself to the 3D surface instead of staying locked to the XYZ axis. What's the trick here? A liitle later - Don't worry, I got it, I needed to select the Align to Working Plane, mode :-)

Love your work! I would check your audio mix, the music is at a normal level but when it cuts to your video, your vocal is extremely low. Keep up the great work!

can the 3d dragger be used on generic solid shapes, ie take a cube and stretch corner points etc, I used to be able to do this in microstation and it's always frustrated me ive never worked out how to do it in VW???

Yes, but only if you convert to subdivision first from the modify/convert menu. Or use the Subdivision from the start.

thanks for this video! super helpful. question though - my 3d dragger tool is all white rather than colored arrows corresponding to each axis. any idea how i can fix this?

Have you tried using the new 3D Dragger Yet as it really makes tricky modelling so easy?

I do not like the new icons. I miss the old colorful icons. I asked support if I could replace the new ones, but no. I will get used to them, but to me it is a big miss from Nemetschek.

I initially felt the same about losing the coloured icons from previous versions, but have very quickly got used to and now much prefer the new interface with its better layout and scaleable icons. I think the new interface looks really modern and has some great usability benefits and I am loving the new 2024 version having used it for a while now!
