@stefanhakola89803 жыл бұрын

Neneh (whose father is American) did move to the U.S. (New York I think) when she was about 4 years old, and hasn't really been living in Sweden. She still speaks excellent Swedish though (with a slight U.S accent), and her daughter, singer Mabel was partly raised in Sweden and speaks both fluent English (British) and Swedish like a native Swedish girl.

Only the dead fish follow the stream.

Thanks! Finally a REAL late 80s classic! Me and my classmates were going wild to this one. It was a pretty turbulent time for me, but this song was one of those that made these shitty times a bit easier to get through. Fun fact: Neneh sang and performed with the feminist postpunk band The Slits in the early 80s in The UK and later with Rip Rig + Panic. Hence the awareness and attitude. Also her duett with Youssou N'Dour 'Seven Seconds' is highly recommended, but I think you might know that one already Jonathan? Excited to know 'Banankontakt' is next!
