1939 CHEVROLET MASTER 85 FRAME PULLING

This car was wrecked in 1971 and pulled into a barn. I was also born in 1971 and this has been waiting for me to fix for 48 years.

old school autobody shops just had chains coming out of the floor. A lot of the old guys made stuff rather then buy stuff. Even in 1993 when I learned we had chain pockets in the floor and no 'frame machine'. Worked just fine on unibody cars as well as old body on frame cars.

Hi Shane, over here In the UK we have a motor sport called BANGER RACING a permitted impact sport, most guys have a lorry/ recovery type that has a "Hiab" type boom, but during racing having big hits, inbetween the races the guys chain one end to the toughest part of the lorry and use very strong booms to stretch bodywork back out for the next race, the pit areas look strange with all the lorries (trucks) booms up with chains hanging, waiting for the next race to finish.,.Its not allowed to strengthen the cars so they suffer lots of damaged but its only thin metal so get pulled out easily _ mostly, but its a big sport here, with different classes for the cars to compete in. races of up to 50 cars a time out on 1/4 mile or smaller ovals is normal.. Look up BANGER WORLD FINALS at FOXHALL STADIUM for starters, oh i raced for 14 fun filled years in 4 different formulas.. loved it.

Takes me back to my body shop days , long time ago . Early seventies . Straightening trucks vans and cars .. one of the first garages in england with full truck straightener built into the foundations . And machine shop . Was most modern of its kind at the time . Amazing place . Took kinks and bends out of frames in minutes no problem at all . The real good times . Keep up the excellent work Jonathan .

This is the difference between a real body man and just a parts swapper. A lot of guys would have just cut that off, patched in a "close enough" piece of frame and called it good. What Jonathan has done has not only been done right but he actually saved part of this old classic and kept it original. It's no wonder his videos are so addictive!

Bought a 1956 Sports Kraft 22' boat. Same year I was born. My research said it was the oldest registered Boat on my lake n in most of Texas. Are they saying I'm Old?
