After being off KZbin and specifically fishing over the last few years it’s great to see this content. Jon always seems to up his filming / fishing skills so his success is well deserved. This brings me back to those 24hour Uncut angling fishing documentaries all those guys produced a few years ago. Amazing content!

Both sturgeon are shortnose. They vary in color and nose lengh. Atlantics have a very long nose and are usually much thicker towards the front and would have larger/sharper scutes at that size! A double header solo is still pretty epic!

@RoundeyeSamurai Жыл бұрын
also, would like to point out, your hook set for the sturgeon is too "bassy". With the barbless circle hook, when you get the taps, wait for a second set of taps, then just lift the rod until you feel the weight, then swing back smooth and strong. The lift allows the barbless circle to slip into position in the mouth, and then just muscle the point into the flesh. Easier said then done though.

Welcome to my home water, it is definitely an experience to try what you were after. Next time come up and try it from a kayak, that is how we fish this area to do what you were trying only we target up to 16 species in certain areas throughout our fishing season. You also missed out Largemouth population and we do have some pretty large Chain Pickerel also. Great to have you visit our fishery and you definitely have to come back.. Striper also turn on again in the fall but in a different area of the province, you can catch as many as 100 per day easy.
