Catching BIG Fish on LIGHT Tackle -- On The Rocks Ep.5

Day 5: Fishing in Australia never felt so good..After a long rock ramble sesh and the first Giant Trevally hook up of the trip we were all pretty wiped but still willing to get after it. The crew decided to spend a half day chasing after some reefies in the afternoon then battling with the pyscho queenfish in the morning. The adventure continues and the fishing is picking up!

I like how halfway through the video you're still chill with hooking lots of little ones rather than going for the GT. I know some days I know aren't gonna be as great for some species, and some bodies of water I go for smaller stuff rather than the big ones. Once i was fishing a dam which was really flooded and I got not a single bite. Some guys were teasing me since I looked disappointed and came back empty handed, but I was actually pooped from hiking and catching salamanders. In this day and age I don't think people get that it isn't always about catching the big/biggest fish. I don't do it to show off, I do it because I love being in nature!

If you fish like i do, you know the smaller and less stuff the better. I’ve added a photo of just some of my gear so you can see how serious i am about fishing.
