Hey Jon that's crazy u got a hook stuck in your finger. last week my little cousin casted out and ended up hitting my eye with a jigg. I went to the hospital a week later because I couldn't take the pain anymore. Now I have to go to a eye specialist because the I messed up some nerves in my eye where I got hit. I can't see much out my right eye. I hope I get my vision back.

Caught a 20 lb pike this summer without pliers, my hand in his mouth and he started shaking his head i have my hand and bait in his mouth, the hook went straight into my finger as he was shaking. Not the funniest fishing trip but it was all worth it for that fish!

its always good time when u catch a pike, kill it and make it to food... but when the pike is whit no head and u are trying to get the head out of your boat for seagulls to eat and the head whit no body chomps down on your finger. well nothing else to ad but pikes have really sharp theets that slices trough your finger like butter (2.5kg pike)

I hate when this happens. I’ve only gotten hooked a few times, but last year I got a razor sharp carp hook to go all the way into the bone in the tip of my finger. The 20 pound grass carp thrashed and the point went straight in. It was so deep My hand quite literally had a seizure. It wouldn’t come out. It had to be surgically removed.

Glad to see you were able to get that out much easier than I did. When I was removing the hook from a large mouth bass he flipped and caught the treble hook in my finger. Which of course hurt like heck every time he flipped some more for me while trying to get the hook out. Lucky for me, I had other people around to help get the fish off and back in the water. But unluckily my hook was in far enough that we had to cut the hook and then numb my finger with ice and push the rest of the way through, OUCH!

I just want to say that a lot of my biggest anything have been off blades. HUGE (Minnesota) bass love blades. The bass love big top water too. Super stoked that you are doing a musky trip! Can't wait and I hope you get a giant ! Never stop!

notherns are more adapt to fishing all year round. we fish for bass/pannfish/walleye during spring-fall, fall-spring is trout season(steelhead in northern ohio) and if there's ice we ice fish. more variety :)

The best place to get a hook in your hand is right between your thumb and index finger. Had all three trebles of an Original Floating Rapala get stuck there. Luckily, I had already unhooked the smallie.

Seems like you should head back to that lake with some of those big swimbaits you ordered a while back. I can tell you from experience that bull shads and s-wavers are good crossover baits when you've got bass and musky!

Jon, i once tried that trick and the barb was in so good that it just yanked my entire hand back.... needless to say i just went and had a professional take it out with medical equipment after that! You're lucky it came out first try cause if not it hurts like a bitch! But we've all been there !

I took a hook in my face once. Right through my cheek. My brother in law didn’t know that I had moved up and was standing beside him and he side cast and smacked me right in the face with the end of his rod. Weight hit me in the eye and hook hit me in the cheek. Fun times.

I have gotten a hook in my thumb and we tried to get it out but we couldn't and we went to the hospital and I had to get 5 shots in my thumb because the hook was scrapping my bone and it took him about 10 minutes to get it out and they said I didnt need medicine but the hook was so dirty I got sick for a week.

Push the hook through and clip the barb. Then slide it through. Easy, you need to know this when you fish with little kids who can't cast.
